		<description>Your exactly right.
IMO the American diabetes Society is run by the grain companies - not
what we need. I suggest instead that you read &#34;Dr Bernstein's Diabetes
Solution&#34; new edition - which correctly describes diabetes and what to
do to fix it.

<description>I have been consuming a lot of fat compared to the average person since we grow
it ourselves and is affordable. I also have 1 kidney so I am aware of kidney
load.
I have type 2 and I am steadily improving sugar levels and energy too. Perhaps
key is my dairy is raw. I dont tolerate commercial dairy - it promotes copious
mucus. Since mucus is the reaction to an irritant I wonder just how healthful
the dairy of commerce actually is.
I believe it to be very poor.
And no, I dont eat grains very much. They destabilize my sugar control.

Kirk

<description>I believe this high-carb-low-fat diet is recommended by Dr. Neil
Barnard. See his recent book, &#34;Reversing Diabetes&#34;. I am (mostly)
following this low fat diet, especially for breakfast and don't see
too much of a BG increase, likely because of the low GI of the
cereals and fruits. I suppose the problem with having eggs, bacon and
sausages is the high fat content which can affect our kidney and
heart functions.
