Yeah, I was in serious denial for about 9 years! Never realizing just how
important it was to test my sugar and watch what I ate. Then scary things
started happening to me! Like my eyesight getting blurry and feeling so tired
that I could hardly keep myself awake to take care of my kids. So that has
scared me into checking my blood sugar and watching my diet and exercising! I
also recently got the lap band done and I lost 50 pounds which has helped. Just
keep taking care of yourselves for a longer life!!!

Type 2 is easily remedied without the side effects of pharma.
Most junk food, chips etc, has msg. msg makes you hungry and obesity is the
usual problem. So no msg.
Aspertame makes you crave carbs so diet drinks are sinister. You know the
glycemic index of sugar makes it a non food.
You need to find why thanatos has more control of your goals than eros. Most
people are in denial of their unconscious motivations. Bad place to be.
<!--more-->
Repressed disappointment, anger etc cause us to indulge in destructive
behaviour. I was self destructive - if I wanted pie and ice cream I ate it - to
hell with if it were good or not. I WANTED IT. So obviously I should have it.
Regressive behaviour to the narcissism of 3 years of age. But denied as such.
Ever hear the expression some older people are childish? Usually because they
are. And it is accepted by that person because they are in denial thus
nullifying the benefits of a lifetime of experience. If you know the benefits of
an alternative lifestyle then why would you indulge in destructive acts. I know
why I did. Thank God I escaped with my life.

Well you can change that.
I just got back from the barbecue picnic with friends that I arranged in
a nearby park. I ate 4 large chunks of foccacia bread, half a "personal"
watermelon, a steak, plus an ice cream and 2 cookies.
My blood sugar got up to 110 then went down, after all that.
(I take no drugs or insulin any more.)

When I was diagnosed in 2004, I needed insulin as my pancreas was too
damaged to make any - and could not handle a small slice of bread, much
less what I did this afternoon. Now I am making insulin nicely as you
can tell.

As far as I know nobody has even been cured from type 2 diabetes

I know a lot of people whose doctors have stated on their medical charts
that they are cured, after a couple years of working on it by losing down to
their normal weight and maintaining it, carb control and regular moderate
exercise. No medicine needed and no neuropathy of any kind.

Ask yourself if you want to live a long healthy life with sudden decline or a
shorter life fraught with chronic illness. In reality those are the choices. A
"realization" has to be made. I was in denial until a near death experience.
That woke me up.

Dear Ken,

God bless u

Jimmy

Dear folks

May the Blessings of Heaven rest upon you.

I am new to this list and I have spent time searching the emails and I
have a question:

Has anyone on this list actually cured themselves (or others) of
diabetes type 2? I am not being a storm-crow or a curmudgeon, but I did
<!--more-->
a pretty thorough search of the emails and nobody seems to have cured
themselves of it.

I see many messages about control, etc., but the cure seems to elude the
keyboards.

Personally, I know it can be reversed, and whiloe I have not cured mine,
I am sure that it will. I think that the cure will take about 2 years
possible less as the old, damaged cells are replaced. I am presently
doing a variety of oxytherapies, Dr. Budwig's protocol, and some other
naturopathic means designed to get minerals in the body. I am getting my
stubborn sugars down. I did a parasite cleanse and am in maintenance
mode on that.

I think the key is to stay the course; most of us, do the cure until we
get bored with it, preferring death and potato chips and neuropathy with
chocolate sauce. In that, diabetes is a disease of the mind.

Has anyone got to the top?

With Kindest Regards,

Ken .'.

Almost fully yes.
It's like so:

My diabetes was triggered as a side effect of Cushing's syndrome (in
which cortisol destroys the pancreas.) I went undiagnosed from 1998
(fasting blood glucose 190) till Nov 2004, when a doctor finally asked
"What do you do for your diabetes?"
By then I had lots of side effects, neuropathy, kidney damage, eyesight
damage etc. My glucose was so trigger-happy it flew through the roof if
I had more then 4g of carbs at a meal.
I went on insulin to control it, plus a strict low-carb very high
protein soy-free beneficial-fat-only (fish oil and extra virgin) diet
with LOTS of high color veg, but no fruit, sugar or grains (apart from
2Tbsp rice bran spread out through the day.)

<!--more-->
That and a homeopathic remedy.

Today I need no insulin, my fasting glucose is 92 or so, I can eat a
relatively low carb meal without having glucose go over 110 at all.
(Like meat, tomato, onion, green pepper, and a slice of toast or a
muffin with jam.)

That's near normal in my book. I can't eat three pieces of cake at this
point - but from where I used to be to here is fantastic.
Oh and the kidney damage is gone, the eyesight has improved and my
glasses are weaker than I used to need - and the glaucoma is gone
(readings of 28 are now 13 and 14 on eye pressure)
and the neuropathy is the one remaining problem that is not right yet.
however I know nerves are VERY slow to heal, and I hold out hope for
continued improvement.

The improvement is all the more amazing in my view, considering that the
background illness involving cortisol producing tumours is not only
there - it is making even higher cortisol than before (202 where it was
149, normal being 10).

I feel more cured than controlled - there is no medication in sight and
I eat what I like - including pie a la mode if I want. I just do not go
overboard like potato AND pie a la mode at the same meal.

I was only diagnosed late 2004 after being ill without control or
knowledge of it for 7 years or more before that. It took time to reverse
this just as it took time to get it. Give me a few more years and I may
just do potato and pie a la mode though:-)

> Has anyone got to the top?

Top of where?
I'm in the northernmost city of the continuous states - is that the top?
:-)

Namaste,
Irene

PS As a veterinary homeopath - I have no failed cases of diabetes among
cats - homeopathy got them all back to normal, insulin-free life.
Feline diabetes is like type-2 except that they make amyloid bodies that
destroy the pancreas so they need insulin.

Yes you can. My fasting sugar was 400 when diagnosed. It takes losing weight,
walking a minimum of a mile a day (dont get carried away though) and eliminating
hugh fructose corn syrup. You also pretty much eliminate the top 20% of the
glycemic index list of foods.
Key to sugar tolerance is muscle. Most old people and a lot more young ones
these days are bone and fat. You need 20% fat max. Fat also destroys
testosterone and women need that as well as men. It is more important to walk a
mile every other day than 4 miles on the weekend. On alternate days build upper
torso. I am off meds - everything. I was pretty sick and declining.
Whey is good after execcise. 1 or 2 oz.
