Re: another perfect week-Beware of perfection

If I want daily box scores, I’ll go read the sports page.
My interest and participation in this forum diminishes when I have to
sift through someone’s repititious ego trip to get to substance.
It would serve for moderator to put the breaks on this, once and for
all.

Moderator is not currently on list - just filter it to trash - that’s
why you have email filters in your email browser:-)

I am not sure we have a moderator at this point. Several months ago, our
moderator was no longer interested in being a moderator after she believed she
was attacked for trying to keep the peace. She did try to find a replacement at
that time but did not find anyone interested. I would like to say a few things
in the hopes that I do not cause anyone ill feelings.
I will start by addressing Irene. You are very important to this group and I
know that you are very appreciated by most. When something is in print rather
than spoken words, it does not have the voice reflection to pick up the true
meaning of what you are saying. I do know that you are strong in your
convictions because of the science studies and your personal experience. I
believe Robert is young and at this point does not have any difficulties with
his disease currently. He is listening to his Dr. and does not understand what
you are trying to explain but I will talk with Robert next. I do believe his
readings are accurate because I had the same readings for a long time. I have
even been as low as 20 on a few occasions. I know that 20 and below is when

brain damage and coma happens. I woke from sleeping with these readings while on
long acting insulin. I have regular highs in the 400’s in the mornings. Now I
wake up somewhere around 2:00am to 4:00am and take regular
insulin to combat the highs. So Robert is very much real with his readings.
Robert has been rude in his response but he has been told that he needs all of
these foods that he eats and I am sure his Dr tells him that he is doing well.
When you tell him that these foods are killing him, he cannot relate or
understand any of this. Then the wars begin. His rude response and then yours.
Irene, you are so much more educated in this disease but yet you let him get
under your skin. For most on this site, we understand what you are saying. I
know that you are trying to save him from harm but until someone has suffered
from this disease, they don’t realize their mistakes.

Of the proteins, the undenatured whey is of particular interest
to a diabetic as the glutathione produced from this high-
precursor food is low in diabetes, resulting in chronic oxidative
stress. As you’re probably aware, nearly all the damage in
    diabetes relates to oxidative stress.

Low carbing isn’t very appealing to many and a lot of people
resist it; nonetheless it’s the healthiest approach for everyone,
not just diabetics. All it is is a restriction: no grain of any
type even gluten-free and exotics, no potatoes, yams or sweet
potatoes, no sugar or sugar beets, no starchy foods, no corn (a
grain). That leaves a cornucopia of gastronomic delight. All one
has to learn is what a high-carb food is.

They add a minimal vitamin and antioxidant program (A,C,E,D) and

mineral in addition to the undenatured whey and selenium, and
many take higher- dose minerals too such as chromium, vanadium,
because many are obese and courting diabetes.

How does this differ from a diabetic diet? Well, it shouldn’t but
there are a lot of myth diets out there. Many diabetic diets make
liberal use of carbohydrate, saying whole grains like brown rice
are OK. This is incorrect; though the whole grains are better
than polished grains, we haven’t evolved to eat a high-carb diet
that includes any more than primitive grains on a hand-to-mouth
basis without encountering diet-related health issues.

Duncan, can you please explain this paragraph? It doesn’t quite
    make sense to me.
