A quick Hello
Hello everyone…
I just wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself and say
hello. My name is Alaine and I am a 56 year old woman from Long
Island, NY. I just recently took a 2 hour fasting glucose test and
it came back as
glucose fasting 127
glucose 1 hr 246
glucose 2 hr 177
the Doctor said I have diabetes and advised an appointment with an
Endo.. I went to a new Endo last week and they gave me a tester and
told me to test before breakfast and before dinner.. the readings
have been all over the place.. one day around 135-140 both times and
the next day around 120 both times.. The Doctor really didnt say much
about it except losing weight would help and I have really no clue
about this disease since no one in my family that I know of has had
it or anyone i know so I never paid much attention when I heard
anything about it..
I also have Hashimotos thyroid disease and am on Armour and mild
adrenal fatigue which I am curently weaning off HC. On another list I
am on someone mentioned HC could spike glucose..
anyway.. I decided best thing was to join a list to find out all I
could especially before going on any medications and the name of this
one jumped out at me..
