Re: Type 2 - MGB Surgery cure

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

On Aug 17, I’m having a MGB, Mini-Gastric Bypass. I don’t qualify for the
100 pounds overweight which is what is required if you’re having it to just
lose weight, but because I have a co-morbidity of Type 2, and I’m somewhat
overweight, I do qualify. They can tweak the surgery according to your weight.
It
cures Type 2 diabetes and many other medical conditions. Anyone interested
can read all about it at www.clos.net
It’s a huge website, a lot of reading, not just the first page.

Question from a new member

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Hi and thanks in advance for your help.

My 80 year old dad takes insulin 4 times a day. He has lost his vision
to the point where he cannot see the reading on his blood sugar meter
or see the number of units on the hypodermic he uses. Additionally, he
has pretty sever hand tremors, so self injection his difficult.

I and my sister have been performing these things for him, but are
there tools or techniques that other visually impaired insulin
dependent diabetics use?

Thanks again for any answers.

potassium reduces cardiovascular mortality

potassium-enriched salt mentioned in this study, I have been
coaching clients to replace the table and cooking salt with
potassium and allow incidental sodium in processed food etc to be
their main, if not sole, salt source. I’ve also been coaching
pople to NOT use salt-c for Lyme disease without supplementing a
lot of potassium, because some people are showing symptoms of
potassium depletion (it ain’t a herx effect).

Summary:

In a multi-center, randomized, controlled trial involving 1,981
elderly men (average age: 74.8 years), replacing regular table
salt with a potassium-enriched salt was found to improve
cardiovascular disease (CVD) survivorship, increase length of
