Most sugars (not all) are partly or wholly converted to glucose - and
then the meter detects it.

It's an herb; it hurts my stomach.

Try Stevia , It's availlable in whole foods stores.
"Sunrider" foods has a raw organic dropper stevia .
It's herbal. It's natural, very strong and it's not
sugar , but sweetens things well. It even balances
sugar .
Acesulfame I thought is a carcinogen.

Oligofructose and fructose are still sugars and no better than sucrose
(worse some say) - they still cause glycation (inflammation) even though
a glucose reader will not pick them up (as it only looks for glucose
sugar).

There's no "free lunch" in the sweetener business - we need to learn to
like things with a LITTLE real sugar or no sugar:-)
