Re: Digest Number 1402
Hi all - I’ve been lurking for a while, but I am trying to manage my mild
type 2 diabetes with diet and supplements. I was just surfing the web and I was
curious about the following e-book: The Diabetes Miracle Breakthrough by Mark
Anastasi. Is anyone familiar with it? Does he really have a diabetes
breakthrough? What types of supplements and diet does he recommend?
I currently take bitter melon, cinnamon, gymnema and banaba. I also take
flaxseed oil, policosanol, and red yeast rice. Has anyone had any experience
with pullalan? Are there any side effects to the pullalan, especially stomach
distress? I cannot take any fiber type supplements like fenugreek because it
produces too much gas. Does anyone have any experience with vanadium? I have
heard some negative things about it. Thank you.

Hi Helene,
I have used vanadium in the form of vanadyl sulfate. It definitely
makes me much more insulin sensitive and lowers the blood sugar very
well combined with exercise. Without exercise it does not seem to
have near as powerful of an effect.
How is the banaba working for you? I have been reading a lot about
it, but have yet to use it.

PS. I just read Mark Anastasi’s book today. It appears he is telling
people to follow Dr Robert Young’s program, also to get
"glconutrients," which I have heard about as well. Basically Anastasi
has written an e-book that references many other books and resources.
If you have read Young, much is not new, if you have not, it might be
worth the read. His message is alkalize and allow the body to
rebalance, also he gets into why information is suppressed which is
pretty compelling.
