Re: milk thistle

The biggest factor in diabetic depreciation and side effects is
low antioxidant pool especially glutathione. Milk thistle only
raises it a bit. You still need glutathione precursors; this
information is in the literature.

I hope you are doing fine.

I am a member and faithful user of Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma), a
very old Chinese general health improvement herbal medicine. Please
google it and familiarize yourself with its wonderful benefits.
www.reishi.com is an independent site not associated with DXN.
Many members and I benefited a lot from it.
I think it is a good idea to use it, tell your loved ones about it,

BAD article in the File section

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

YEah - Deception is the right word. The article is full of truth and
total fiction all woven together.
How is the reader supposed to separate them?
I’d remove this from the files if I was the owner of the list.

the author needs to read a scientific explanation of what is happening
wit the pancreas so as to know what Type 2 diabetes is about. Bernstein
has a good description in his book.
It is NOT as this author says:
"Type II diabetes results from ineffective insulin."
That’s nonsense. There is no such thing as ineffective insulin.

Insulin resistance USUALLY but not always is part of diabetes type 2. I
have type 2 without any insulin resistance. Insulin resistance can be
fixed. That still leaves yo with a pancreas unable to STORE (and often

Re: OT–Homeopathy (credentials)

> Yeah, but was he a *good* therapist? (wink wink)

I was wondering the same thing. Some of the best (and worst)
psychotherapists I’ve known (and I’ve known a lot) have no mental health
degree/licensure/certification, or formal training. And some of the worst
(and best) ones I’ve known have had the highest levels of professional
training, certification, credentials, etc.

I put more stock in credentials when it comes to (holistic) health
practitioners, but not that much stock. Many of the best holistic health
practitioners I’ve known have been primarily self-taught. I don’t know
enough about homeopaths to comment, except that my guess is that qualities
such as intuition and sensitivity may play as big a role as does formal
training.

question on DMSO methylating mercury in the mouth

Friday, August 4th, 2006

To put the situation simply I know people with mercury fillings
who use enough DMSO to stink up the room. This may be much more
than a low concentration but there it is.

Because DMSO is a good source of methyl molecules, if that is
being exhaled the mercury may be methylating much faster in the
mouth than usual, yielding methyl mercury, which is 100x more
toxic than mercury. Obviously the concern is that it would
present a huge Alzheimer’s and immune deficiency risk along with
dozens of other mercury symptoms.

I’m going to cross-post this query and if I get some
knowledgeable replies I’ll return them.
