Bev, you don’t need more meds — have you heard of "polypharmacy"? I
ask because most of your difficulties can be resolved with foods and
antioxidants, while drugs relieve symptoms but compound the
underlying health issues.
COPD responds remarkably well to a good antioxidant program; that is,
vitamin C, E, A, selenium, cold-processed whey for the glutathione
precursors, and other antioxidants like grape seed extract (my
preference is Omegavin - very potent). Antioxidants work together,
and it’s a particularly good idea to use them when one is diabetic as
most of the diabetic complications one might experience also relate
to free radical damage, A.K.A. chronic oxidative stress.
In CHF the weakened heart muscle pumps less blood in a situation
similar to metabolic syndrome, which itself is marked by poor muscle
tone etc. This can be reversed up to a point, as can the metablic
syndrome, with diet and lifestyle, and by kicking the treatment up a
notch by directly addressing the low HGH release that caused the
metabolic syndrome in the first place. Once HGH levels are more
youthful ALL of the muscles and organs including the heart begin to
repair and improve in tone and function. Even after a heart attack,
cardiac function can be made to improve with this technique.
GERD is caused in the vast majority by inadequate stomach acidity, a
condition that results in the vomit response being triggered where
the stomach contents should have been discharged into the bowel. The
condition is called hypochlorhydria; look it up. The point is that
hypchlorhydria and rsulting GERD can be easily corrected; however,
TUMS Zantac and such just add to the problem by neutralising the
acid. This results pretty reliably in incorrect bacterial culture in
the bowel (bowel dysbiosis), nutritional malabsorption, bowl
candidiasis and leaky gut syndrome (and worse - sometimes systemic
candida)
With a littl care you should be able to dump nearly all the drugs. In
fact the doctor will recommend that you don’t need them as you will
me more well. Then at least the two of you you’ll have an idea on
what exactly is the matter because he durgs’ involvement in your
problem will be minimised.
