bad — here’s the correction:

Data from 25 states that reported shows arsenic in drinking water
There exists quite a bit of information there on what the Code Blue
filter removes as well as a comparison to the leading filters. For
example, Brita pitcher filters only remove chlorine and lead, and not
even carcinogenic THMs or pesticides. For any who are interested I
did get further information in PDF files. Please put code blue water
in the subject line of a direct email. duncancrow(at)shaw.ca
Some people don’t realize just how toxic arsenic is; the table below
shows the lifetime risks of dying of cancer from arsenic in tap water
correlated to arsenic concentration in drinking water, based on the
National Academy of Sciences’ 1999 risk estimates. (assuming 2 liters
consumed/day). Note that even at very low concentrations, cancer risk
rises considerably. This is cancer alone out of dozens of ailments,

Arsenic exposure has been associated with the onset of diabetes, and
patients with chronic arsenic exposure often present with the
complaint of painful paresthesias. Neuropathy results in diminished
sensitivity to pinprick, light touch, temperature, and vibration and
in motor deficits in a stocking-glove distribution. Muscle wasting
and foot drop sometimes are noted. Patients may also develop
encephalopathy, myocarditis, pericarditis, peripheral vascular
disease (ie, blackfoot disease), lung cancer, renal failure, anemia,
brittle nails exhibiting Mees lines, or hyperpigmentation (especially
of the eyelids, neck, axillae, and groin).
How does arsenic exposure happen? A Harvard document points out,
"Arsenic contamination has become a problem in many parts of the
world. At first as a result of leaching from mine tailings in
Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the

Arsenic exposure is an unbelievably big problem worldwide.
Mitochondrial disorders, cancer, and many other illnesses, diabetes
included, can result from chronic low level arsenic exposure….
According to the study of large populations in Taiwan, people who
receive significant levels of arsenic in their drinking water have a
six to ten times greater risk of developing diabetes mellitus. The
researchers found that there was a dose-response relationship — that
is, the more arsenic in the drinking water, the more likely the
person was to be diabetic — reinforcing the weight of their
findings. The researchers concluded that chronic arsenic exposure
"may induce diabetes mellitus in humans."
Bear in mind as of today Jun 15 there IS no filter on the market that
removes arsenic. But tomorrow there will be.
Obesity Surgery Can Put Type 2 Diabetes In Remission
OBESITY SURGERY is an increasingly popular weight-loss method.
Several kinds of surgeries exist; all reduce the size of the stomach
so that it holds much less food. Some surgeries also keep the body
from absorbing food well. As a result, the person takes in fewer
calories and loses weight.
People with type 2 diabetes get an important additional benefit, a
review has found. Blood glucose levels return to normal in three-
quarters of people with type 2 diabetes who have obesity surgery.
The goal of the review, which was published in the Oct. 13, 2004,
issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association, was to
examine past studies of obesity surgery to determine its effects on
four obesity-related conditions: type 2 diabetes, high blood

As an ozone therapist I am privy to information that is not well
known about leg ulcers, called "diabetic foot" in Europe. North
American doctors are usually unable to cope with the drug-resistant
infection because antibiotics are generally ineffective. After
repeated debridement — surgically paring away of necrotic tissue –
removes a good portion of the the leg, and many medical appointments
for "managing" the illness, the outcome often boils down to eventual
amputation anyway.
Although North American doctors do a lot of amputations, and in fact
amputations are a Big Business that analysts would call a growth
industry, many European doctors prefer to allow their patients to
keep their legs. Eschewing amputation, they treat diabetic foot with
ozone therapy, which has been used continuously in many parts of the
world since the late 1800’s. This results in both a cure of the drug-

Hello all - I have several 2oz bottles of Banaba Extract I would like
to get rid of. The reason is, that I have found my perfect solution
for bg lowering and it does not involve this or any other ’specialty’
formulae for diabetes. I have been able to drop my bg, within five
days, from an average of 265 to 160. I trust to have it down to 110
average within another week or so.
Please e-mail me directly if interested in purchasing the bottles, I
have five (5) available.
Thanks and good luck in your control of BG…

The Importance of Injury as a Cause of Impaired Mitochondrial
Oxidation in Diabetes
John P. Cleary, M.D.
In diabetes, glucose metabolism via the Krebs cycle is impaired, and
this leads to reduced cellular energy and elevated blood sugar
levels. When a cell is damaged by oxidation injury, cytosol NAD
levels fall and ATP levels decrease, If the DNA strand breaks can be
repaired, and the cell regains lost NAD, the energy system can
function again, but frequently cell death ensues
…Elevated blood glucose is therefore due to impaired membrane
transport of glucose into cells and into the mitochondria of the
cells where it is metabolized into energy, Impaired transport could
