Hello All, I’m New to the Group

Friday, December 9th, 2005

This is my first post in this group I believe, so I have a lot to say,
so please bear with me. My mom has Type II diabetes. I have been
working hard to be of assistance, however I haven’t been able to do
much. She now unfortunately will be going on dialysis. She will be
getting a fiscular put into her arm this week because her kidneys are
now at 12-14%. I was working so hard with her to get her to change her
diet, and she even starting exercising at Curves. She’d lost 57
pounds, however this was over a two year period and her renal failure
may have aided in this.

I had found out that drinking juniper berry tea is supposed to assist
in healing your kidneys. It’s been a hard battle because she would
still need to lose about 100 pounds, which exacerbates her high blood
pressure condition. I think that if she could lose the weight, her

Re: other views on diabetes, DNA and insulin

Hi James!

Thank you for posting this chapter of your book. I would love to explore
all these issues more. I have emailed you directly but thought others
may also be interested.

The idea of problems with the mitochondria - is fascinating. Can you
provide more info? I am aware of people doing research with a type of
water called Cell Power here in Australia that works to normalise
problems such as this and also has applications for cancer and other
dis-eases.

I am also interested in the downside of herbs such as Gymnea which has
been shown to regenerate islet cells in some limited studies even in
people who have had diabetes for a very long time.

Many people who are on insulin have wildly swinging blood sugar levels.
Not a little like is commonly described for the rest of the population.
Injecting insulin is a precarious thing.

It is a huge blessing in that it allows us the time to explore the
options and to heal. I often reflect that if I had been born in my
grandmothers time I would not have been afforded this luxury and people
with diabetes died a rapid and painful death.
the experience I have with extremely high blood sugar levels has given
me some indication of the agony that they endured. When you need to
urinate so urgently that it is unbreable or you are so thristy that
water does not seem wet enough and your body aches like your muscles are
weighted with lead, and there is no relief - that can’t have been too
much fun. anyway….
