I asked my Dr. to put my on insulin as my diet and meds did not check me in
the proper range due to me not being completely able to stay on a good diet.
I travel a lot for my job and do not always get to eat correctly. He
thought that Lantus was something to try with a slight alteration in my
meds. I have been taking it for almost 2 years now and I have been in
better control with its help. The only time I have had a low sugar episode
was when I did not eat breakfast (once, learned my lesson). Other then that
I have had no negative reactions.

the doctor who i went to last year( top doctor here in d.c.) wanted me to
go
on lantus , but i wanted to check it out more. still trying to check it
out more because of a few bad reports. my doctor said that the four times
a
day taking nph is the way some europeans do it. are you on lantus and if
so, how do you like it/ ellen
