<description>I posted some stuff recenlty - check the archives.
Extreme pain was the main thing. And I have heard many similar symptoms
from other people.
It is a growth factor - insulin andif this is a foreign protein it only
lead me to speculate about what it can promote the growth of - that is
my speculation.
I have done some investigation of it and an intense detox of it using
Mora therap - like high tech homeopathics in a nutshell - helped
dramatically. And I was only on it for a couple of months.
pity - cause in theory it sounds great! I was so excited to start it.....

<description>With a complex case like the one you described, has your endocrinologist
just sent you out to fend for yourself without even providing onset
times of the insulin presescribed?
Wow! Well done for the perseverence and for finding out for yourself.
However I would shop around for a dr who provides you with this info and
with care.
even in mos hospitals there is a diabetes unit that will provide nurse
educators etc to get you used to it all.

I have type 1 and am in australia so things are different but still.

I think Novolog is like Humalog which is an insulin analog and not
something I usually recommend.
It is not as bad as Lantus (Glargine) which I and many others have had
serious trouble which may be associated with it. It is an insulin analog
&lt;!--more--&gt;
(both are) and are therefore recognsied as foreign proteins by bodies
and can then have an immune attack mounted against it from what I have
discerned.
I use the Eli Lily insulins as I find they have slightly less
preservatives than Novo and seem to agree with my body better.

The Novolog and Humalog have a very rapid onset - supposedly 10- 15
minutues - though some people - including me felt it much faster. I
usually gave it after a meal which were low GI meals as the onset is so
rapid. It also leaves ths system faster - maybe 2 hours? check!

There is a lot that can be done to help diabetes and type 2 responds
quickly and you might find other symptoms clear up too.
there is a good new book
the Ph Miracle for diabetes.

also macrobiotic eating can help.

many herb, homeopathics etc too. Never give up and search online!
