Alpha Lipoic Acid is given to many people with diabetes in Europe esp
with cirulation problems. Heaps of info on line. It is a nutritional
supplement - a very special class of antioxidants.
I also saw a special B vit amin derivative that helps with neuropathy. I
find that what I eat affects my circulation. I practise macrobiotics and
when I eat too extreme yin - fruits etc or too yang - esp baked foods -
the pain flares up or intensifies. Also too much fat - even though I
stick to the "good" fats mostly - at one time can irritate those
senstive nerves.
Magnesium helps me as does other good minerals…consult a good
naturopath - or do what I did ane become one!
best of luck!
Oh - I forgot to mention - a few years ago when I was experiencing the
neuropathy intensely, using Evening Primrose Oil completely relieved the
symptoms. It is important though to get a good quality one - that is
refrigerated or that the capsules are in a dark bottle. In the US one
can also get Borage Oil from Omega or another reputable oil company that
also contains the GLA that is thought to help.
some people find circulation boosting herbs such as gingko biloba good -
though others find it stimulates circulation more to the head and upper
body. I actually find that circulation stimulating herbs such as ginger
makes the pain worse when it is active.
there is an excellent article online somwhere about natural and
medication approaches to reversing neuropathy……

Ozone therapy works on neuropathy and has the additional benefit of
oxygenating the limbs. I have the science on my hard drive (and
practice) on that.
Nitric oxide increasers such as Noni extract increase the
microcapilliaries’ ability to carry blood and thus better oxygenate
the limb and repair the damage. I have the science on that on my web
site.
A few supplements, mainly in the realm of antioxidants reduce the
oxidative stress in the body that caused the damage and the arterial
disease in the first place. The science is on my web site.
Avoidance of oxidative stress-causing foods is wise (starch and
sugar, corn, canola, soy oils). This information can be found in an
internet search.
Email me directly for a program that has been working. Put
appropriate keywords into the subject line so I notice it. I get a
lot of spam.
Blood circulation will be improved by vigorous eaercise of hands and legs
movement. If it has due to sugar problem then use the FoodMatrix Technology with

I have found that alpha lipoic acid, 300 mg twice a day, extended
release version, will help improve neuropathy of the feet, and
elsewhere. There is a tremendous amount of research to support this.
The ALA has a tendency to deplete biotin, so it’s a good idea to
supplement with a large (5 mg) dose of that as well. Dr. Bernstein’s
second edition book is my source for this information.
