    Here’s a response by Uffe Ravnskov, MD, PhD, who is probably the top
    cholesterol researcher in the world. Like me, he figures this new
    target for LDL levels is just a push to medicate 2/3 of the
    uninformed.

    In his article, The Cholesterol Myths, he shows how research does not
    back the stance the Heart Foundation has taken. He proves that statin
    drugs do not confer measurable health benefits but do on the other
    hand increase the death rate.
