for linda , and question on laser
hi linda, your response was refreshing. i have been taken insulin for 16
years and have been all over the place. if i taried to keep mine around 70
i would be shaking and having many lows. doctors do cause a lot of anxiety
for some of us. sometimes i hate to go to a doctor, because they make me
feel like a bad little girl when i do go. anyhow, has anyone had laser
surgery for bleeding in you eye? i am concered about the dye that is
injected. does anyone have an experience that twy can share. thanks, ellen

Hi Ellen. I haven’t had laser treatment so I have no experience
there. There is a homeopathic remedy that has helped me prevent and
heal problems in my left eye. Doesn’t seem to work as well in the
right one though (some remedies are left or right sided in their
action, oddly). Anyway, if you can get the remedy called ‘Lachesis’
in a 30c dilution, and take it daily for a few weeks, it might help
with retinal bleeding in your left eye. Mine cleared entirely.
Yes, I too was not helped by the parental tone many Doc’s take in
response to less-than-perfect blood sugars. The arrogance undermines
their helpfulness, especially with teenagers! Did you get your
diabetes when you were a teenager? I did.
-Alternative medicines and disciplines can do a great deal towards
preventing complications. Antioxidants, like Duncan says, help a lot.
Exercise is really important too. And positive thinking, or at least
avoiding doom-sayers. Be proud of the good stuff you CAN do for
yourself, and don’t be too hard on yourself about the rest. Lots of
advice, and I don’t think you were asking for any! -Good luck with
your eyes. -Linda
