Re: Risa’s recipes

Friday, October 14th, 2005

Dear Risa,
Perhaps you genuinely believe that providing these recipes will be
helpful for listmembers, but I don’t believe you’re really doing
people w/diabetes a service by providing them.

> I assumed that diabetics already have chosen their favorite low carb
> pasta!-
I think the few I’ve seen are loaded w/gluten or nonfermented soy,
which are unhealthy for a large portion of people. I might even choose
to use a small amount of spelt pasta instead (unless on a
very-low-carb diet). But as I think Jewel pointed out, I think it’s
best to avoid pasta.

RESEARCH ON THE HERBS WHICH RESULTED IN DECREASE OF DAILY INSULIN DO

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005

Dear Friends,

In response to the e-mail reproduced below, I would like to intimate
you that in fact, as intimated earlier, I don’t know name of the
Indian Herbals being given to my son orally thrice a day which
resulted in reduction of daily insulin dose from 35 units in two
shots to mere daily 10 units in a single shot, till date!

For this purpose, I insisted the Aayurvedic Expert (Vaidya) several
times for the name of the seeds and ingredients of the powder which
resulted in reduction of daily insulin dose from 35 units in two
shots to mere daily 10 units in a single shot; for further submission
to Allopathic Researchers & Scientists all over the Globe on net. He
denied doing so by explaining me that he doesn’t want to earn a
single penny from any diabetic! He further explained me that he is

Dear,

Once again; I am on the board to intimate further progress on
reduction of Insulin dose to my son (who is type 1 diabetic) under
strict medical supervision.

First of all; sorry to all the members whose direct messages I
couldn’t respond because being a member of total 138 Diabetes Groups,
it is not possible for me to respond individually at present and also
Group rules does not permit me to do so. Again, extremely sorry for
that.

This time, after a long period of 10 days, on 08th June 2004, my
doctor reduce the daily dose of insulin to my son from 16 units a day
(8 units at noon & 8 units at evening) to 12 units at noon before

Another case for glutathione antioxidant values and especially for
cold-processed whey as the source, which also supplies the high
biological value protein.

Thanks Mary

Hi! I’m a student at the University of Pennsylvania. I’m not
diabetic, but have friends who are, and have a keen interest in
health care, education, and finding solutions to diabetes. The goal
of my senior project is to better understand ways to improve diabetes
education and awareness of treatment and prevention options.

I would really appreciate it if you could take the time to fill out
my survey (it’s a word doc) and email it to me. It’s essential to my
research, and you can be entered in a drawing to win prizes valued
from $40-$65.

Prizes include – A Diabetic Care Sample Pack with diabetic cookies,
glucose tablets, skin crerams and much more, an Ascensia Breeze Blood
Glucose monitor, and a month supply of nutritional supplements
specially designed to help keep diabetics sugar levels under control.

Re: Digest Number 1052

Saturday, October 8th, 2005

A good basic vitamin along with several other supplements and a good
vegetarian diet is generally what you will need.

Two lines I suggest you consider include MegaFoods and New Chapter which
are food based and you can take them on an empty stomach.

As for what type of supplements such as chromium and Vit. E with
selenium you can visit such sites as dukeandthedoctor.com and go to the
library/reference room for additional input.

Good luck…

Duncan,
I have stayed constantly confused on the barrage of information for treatment
on Type 2 diabetes for the last 3 years since I was diagnosed. At this
point, I’m totally frustrated. I hear everything from you have to be on low
carb
to stay in control, to you have to go fresh fruits and raw vegs in order to get
in control and heal. Some say these supplements, some say no. Some say
insulin, some say no. My diabetes is totally out of control even on insulin
now.
The only way it will stay in control is to eat virtually no carbs…. and I
don’t have enough willpower to do that constantly.
After that whining, my point is: What route for health would you take if you

pancreas aid/peppermint

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

I was at a young living conference last week I do not sell for them or
anything like that. They do essential oils expensive ones but anyhow the
speaker said peppermint helps support the pancreas. I now drink at least 34
ounces of water with peppermint oil in it and cut up some fresh I have
groing and nuke it with my green tea. I need to look at my notes and see.
