DIABETES TYPE 1 INDIA (RECENT PROGRESS)
Dear,
Once again; I am on the board to intimate further progress on
reduction of Insulin dose to my son (who is type 1 diabetic) under
strict medical supervision.
First of all; sorry to all the members whose direct messages I
couldn’t respond because being a member of total 138 Diabetes Groups,
it is not possible for me to respond individually at present and also
Group rules does not permit me to do so. Again, extremely sorry for
that.
This time, after a long period of 10 days, on 08th June 2004, my
doctor reduce the daily dose of insulin to my son from 16 units a day
(8 units at noon & 8 units at evening) to 12 units at noon before
lunch ONLY. No insulin injections before Dinner as earlier! Great
relief to my son as he has been moved from 2 daily shots to a single
shot daily! Really, God is great!
As advised by you all and my doctor, his blood sugar is being tested
thrice a day without break.
Here, I would like to clear one thing that my doctor is giving only
Insulin Therapy to my son based on blood sugar reports of my son &
the Indian Herbals, which resulted the decrease of Insulin dose to my
son, is suggested & being provided by an Aayurvedic Expert (Vaidya)
here in Gujarat State of India.
In conclusion; I would like to inform you all that before starting
the medication of Indian Herbals; the dose of Insulin to my son was
35 units in 2 shots daily up to 16th May 2004. As intimated earlier,
after starting Indian Herbals as suggested by the Aayurvedic Expert
on 17th May 2004, my doctor who gives only Insulin Therapy to my son,
reduced 5 units on 19th May, 5 units on 22nd May, 3 units on 24th
May, 6 units on 28th May, 4 units & 1 shot reduced on 08th June
2004! From 35 units a day in 2 shots to mere daily 12 units in
single shot! Reduction more than 65%!
I further clarify that this information and the information regarding
prognosis of my son is based on the observation of his blood sugar
reports ONLY and in no way I intend to prove any Aayurvedic theory or
I don’t promote Aayurvedic medicines that’s why I do not name the
medicines (In fact, I also don’t know name of the ingredients of the
powder (churna) & the seed (Fala)) which is being given to my son
orally! I am only interested in the result under strict medical
supervision.
I request competent authority of this Group to kindly advise me in
case of any breach of any rules by me.
I further clarify that what I have shared is based on my own
experience…. In no way do I recommend the Indian Herbal treatments
without the guidance of a physician…
Once again I would heartily thank you all for extending your
kind co-operation in the form of information & sympathy.
Best Regards,
Prakashbhai Thakrar
