Duncan,
I have stayed constantly confused on the barrage of information for treatment
on Type 2 diabetes for the last 3 years since I was diagnosed. At this
point, I’m totally frustrated. I hear everything from you have to be on low
carb
to stay in control, to you have to go fresh fruits and raw vegs in order to get
in control and heal. Some say these supplements, some say no. Some say
insulin, some say no. My diabetes is totally out of control even on insulin
now.
The only way it will stay in control is to eat virtually no carbs…. and I
don’t have enough willpower to do that constantly.
After that whining, my point is: What route for health would you take if you
had Type 2 diabetes?

Hi Kady,
Diet-wise, lose the gross carb sources, use more vegetables and fruit
but be careful as fruit has a lot of sugar. What Chris and I are
doing now. In fact gross carbs in our diet is unnatural, and that’s
why many of us get diabetes - we have a hard time dealing with it
all, metabolically speaking.
Increase metabolic rate with cold-processed whey, the most
bioavailable protein, and use the HGH-enhancing amino acids.
Move existing fats - burn fats using chromium and carnitine
supplements, use trace minerals and vitamins (depending on your diet
you may need more or less). I think it’s really important to check
saliva pH to determine whether low pH is causing a problem. When the
cells start to ferment sugar rather than burn fat, due to low pH, of
course the liver will have to cough up the sugar even if it makes it
from protein. This is a pre-cancerous situation. Reducing the need
for the sugar involves getting the cells to metabolise fat, working
aerobically, with a good oxygen supply.
