		<description>Hi Neo;

I'm new to this group and I've been a type II insulin dependent
diabetic and oral meds for 10 years. I'm currently in remission and
off insulin and all oral meds because I had gastric bypass surgery 8
months ago. I don't recommend this for everyone, but it has worked
for me. My experience before surgery was insulin resistance and A1C
of 9.2 and higher. My current A1C is 5.0 The only thing that I
noticed having an effect on my resistence was when I increased my
physical activity. Mostly walking - vigeroulsy. Unfortunately, when
my blood sugars were high, I didn't have the energy to do the
physical activity. I noticed that eating a low carb diet maintained
my Blood sugars at the higher elevtions (when they were up) instead
of spiking them when I did eat the carbs. Diet was the most
mysterious factor in all of this for me. My blood sugars were high
&lt;!--more--&gt;
for normal no rhyme or reason. Like I said, the physical activity
(fast walking and light house work) seemed to be the only concrete
solution for me.

Good luck
