The $ factor… Medications & Alternatives

Apologies for jumping in to Duncan & Chris’s discussion-debate.

Remove the pure profit factor as a motivation of/for creating a product, be
it a pharmaceutical drug, or some form or type of alternative "medicine"…
I propose most ~snake oil~ would disappear. Remove the financial greed
factor and we definitely would lose extraordinary medicines without doubt.
But remove the money from the whole equation and those which could not PROVE
their claims <shrug> would have little incentive… IMHV-fwiw. In short they
would not waste their time to create the scams…

One other thing to consider also, most of us are ALIVE today because of what
some are calling/perceive as the "evil" drug companies. IDDM folks,
certainly are alive due to a lifestyle filled with continued GOOD healthy
habits and most definitely without any doubt to a little drug called Insulin
Without it, they die… Drugs unto themselves are definitely not a bad

thing… aspirin is a friend to most <g>

Idealistic perhaps, altruistic probably… but I’ll stand by my hypothesis..
anybody <wg>???

Ok, ready <Jeff w/ his flame retardant PJ’s on>……

    Hi Jeff,

I agree that financial involvement drives both the natural and the
    pharmaceutical products industries.

I can partly agree with your statement above, with the reminder that
the insulin, while keeping you alive, also shortens life span, mainly
through oxidative stress, and so you need also to avoid the oxidative
stress and all the chronic the complications it causes.

Natural products may also remove the diabetes and mainly do not produce
oxidative stress, and other natural products DO remove the oxidative
    stress.

This is a good example of where you need a little self-reliance rather

than only dependence on the medical regime. The anti-aging specialists
treat diabetes all the time, and they recommend mainly natural and food
products in the hope of reducing and eventually eliminating the
insulin. The client follows his own path with their guidance.
