Re: Digest Number 1026
I want to share another side of the FAT issue.
I just read someone’s opinion it is what we put in out mouths. That may be true
from some people. I think there are total absolutes in these things. Take me
for an example.
I used to work as an exercise instructor back in the day. I had already lost
about 100 pounds. still fat. Then started excercising like a nut. VERY
ACTIVE!! I ended up being area trainer, lead instructor. teaching (over
exercising to get the member’s jazzed), Well, I’d love to say that I lost tons
of weight, but, 6-8 classes A DAY (being an over the top motivator, I out did
everything in re to energy to jazz the members up), 5 days a week, 4 classes on
Sat and a couple on Sunday didn’t do a thing for the belly fat (my arms and legs
were already small, NEVER the belly blubber!!). My food was basically, a mug of
cream of wheat on the way to the first studio, a happy meal for lunch while
driving to another studio, repeat at dinner. this schedule was my life. I
NEVER lost the belly weight - the scale stayed the same, the measurements didn’t
change, and I should have burned up the fat until I was a bag of bones w/the
hours I put in day after day, week after week, month after month. It was the
most frustrating thing I lived thru, in re to the weight. I wasn’t a slacker,
and even other instructors couldn’t keep up in my classes - even after I’d
taught 7 of the daily classes. I SHOULD have lost weight…just like most
people know someone who eats LIKE A PIG and NEVER GAINS A POUND! I mean,
honestly, don’t ya just hate them, LOL.
I think it is important to realize everyone has a story, and not all fall into
the same category, and it is more important to be aware what works for oneself,
