Puke on Fat.
Well, once again I am frustrated at the Media and the Medical Community. Please
allow me to vent…;O(
Another syndicated article came out on the front page of our paper. It pushes
Cinnamon for a Type II solution. Huge misinformation, its Casia Cinnamon thats
helpful, and now there are a lot of diabetics who are running out buying
cinnamon to add to their coffee, and when it doesn’t work (remember the Bran for
lowering cholesterol craze?) it will invalidate alternative medicines for health
solutions.
Why can’t these same news sources teach the population that what causes Type II
diabetes is Insulin Resistance, and if they address this BEFORE peoples
pancreas’ burn out, they can almost ELIMINATE type II diabetes from our society?
I think I will puke next time I see an article that says fat people cause their
own Type II when its the Insulin Resistance that makes them overweight.
Chris.
A Grassroot Movement is like a lawn; there is a bigger picture we all like to
see…. but underneath there are many small roots. Each root has an influence
on the entire picture. We too can have an effect, we just need to figure out
the efficient way to do it.
If interested, check out my list..

Hi Chris…. I don’t understand this ….. ?
(I still have that report on Insulin Resistance on my list of things to do,
just haven’t gotten around to ordering it. I’ve put it on my To Do list for
tomorrow.)

i think it is what you are eating that causes the insulin resistance, and
weight gain. my diabetes started this way and i was 125pounds at 5′ 6” twenty
two years ago. i ate a lot of sugar , but was very active, so did not gain
weight. i also eat lots of fruits, veggies, fish etc. before i pigged out. i
am 128 pounds now, and not as active. i think many people are looking for a
reason for weight gain, and it is what they are putting into their mouth.
people need to educate themselves about nutrition, and start eating more
fruits and veggies. some people ;may not like what i have said, but i have
met diabetics that are very over weight and are look ing for a simple excuse
for their weight gain. i wish i could loose weight and get off insulin, as
many of them can. i know losing is not easy. i have know people that have
lost their extra pounds and are now off insulin, and no longer have diabetes.
i think that is wonderful. i do not want to offend any one, but i probably
have. i just had to say this. ellen
