Re: pH, metabolic type, & Dr. Foster’s website

I happen to strongly disagree w/her blanket dismissal and trashing of animal
products,
animal fat, cholesterol, and most vitamin supplements. Also, I strongly dislike
her commercialism and use of fear (and other) tactics to sell her supplements.
Aside from that, I agree w/the vast majority of the content on her website.

(I think that’s a synonym for the "paleo diet"?)
For many (perhaps most) people, but not for all people (with or without
    diabetes), yes.
I realize that many people do well on vastly different diets (e.g., those w/type
1 diabetes who are able to get off insulin thru a raw vegan diet; Dr. Foster
mentions a few, and I met 1 such woman; other people [with and without diabetes]
do well on Atkins). I think one’s optimal diet depends on metabolic type,
digestion, blood type, health status, climate, and many other factors.

    > Thanks for the Kristal link
    You’re very welcome.

<<She was diagnosed with diabetes at age 3 months after I
asked the doctor to put a test strip on her diaper (he put a urine bag on

her instead). I had to give her shots from that point till she was 15.>>
I doubt her diabetes was due to your diet (or hers). I admire all the work and
research who’ve done to help her.

  2. Dave Black Says:

"Enough insulin is being produced, so why isn’t the blood sugar level
normal: …2. The cells are toxic with petrochemicals and other toxic
substances which block the receptor sites on the cells. With the
receptor sites blocked, the cells cannot take in the glucose to use
    it."

Further studies revealed that the receptor sites do not become blocked
as much as they become malformed. They require certain essential sugars
plus protein in their formation. Excess glucose, toxin load inhibit
their proper formation and 86 diseases including diabetes are linked to
malformed receptors. Insulin and the other hormones that govern cell
function must have properly formed receptors to stick to and deliver
their various messages. With the inability to do that, insulin has to
rise because the glucose is not being assimilated.

The doctor seems to think cholesterol is the problem, but more
correctly the OXIDIZED cholesterol is the real problem. Because
practically all diabetic complications do arise from oxidation,
oidative stress and free radical damage should be addressed even more
assertively than in the general population. The place to find out more
is the Weston Price foundation, particularly documents by top oils
    researcher Mary Enig.

A couple of the best ways to increase circulation are by using Noni
extract and/or arginine. Both increase nitric oxide which is not only
an antioxidant but relaxes the artery and vein walls and increases
circulation. I don’t have a noncommercial link for that but the science
is posted to my website on the Noni page. I don’t make anything on
    these products however.

Besides Stevia she should have mentioned Gymnema Sylvestris; its
attributes include regeneration of islet cells. Another thing that does
that as it rebuilds the whole beat-up body is HGH growth hormone
increase. This is normally the method used (amino acids are preferred
over HGH injections) by the anti-aging specialists who deal with
diabetes and other age-related illnesses. This product I do make money
on; I have about 55 clients on it, and I learned about it from a local
M.D. Contact me for details if you wish.

I agree she completely missed the boat on animal products. The data do
not agree with her assertions. People on animal fat live longer than
those on unsaturated and especially polyunsaturated oils. Besides,
polyunsaturated oils are thyroid-suppressive, so people gain weight on
them and get more fat and slow. I have posted this material to my
website on my coconut oil page.

I note on the second page referred to that the doctor is ignorant of
liver flushes, which are your best bet for immediate detox because they
reduce physical liver blockages and thus increase liver function.
Referring to a previous paragraph, the glutathione produced by cold-
processed whey is the liver’s main support.

Also, she is not ‘with the program’ on using prebiotics, which feed
probiotic bacteria and improve bowel health. This reduces colon cancer
risk, improves cholesterol and glucose profiles, and also improves
mineral absorption while at the same time suppressing candida and
incorrect bowel bacteria, which produce much of your toxin load.
The science is on my website.

I believe Dr. Foster is thus missing out on some of the most
fundamental and crucial, science-validated approaches to restoring
health, and missing them will undermine her best efforts and yours if
    you simply follow her advice.

Check it out, I kid you not.
