mail order RX opportunities.

I wonder if anyone else questions the effectiveness of their insulin
as a possible answer for loss of their tight control ?
Insulin breaks down in heat. It begins at 87 degrees for the type of
insulin I use. When your temperature is in the sixties, inside the
Fed X, UPS, USPS, or store delivery metal trucks are in the
eighties. The simple little frozen pack shipped with some insulin
turns into water in about 2 hours when in 87 degree heat. I called
the manufacturer and asked how long the insulin could stand to be at
87 degrees or higher, and was told they were still doing test ???,
but it begins breaking down in minutes at 87 degrees. I don’t know
about where you live, but here in Arizona it in the sixties or higher
the majority of the year, and If their not using refrigerated trucks,
and they don’t out here, then heat is a problem. I believe it is a
much more serious problem than the industry is stating.
If your Doctors and Pharmacist really want you to be informed, as
they say, why haven’t they question the heat issue ? And again if
heat destroys insulin, could cold weather effect it also ? Don’t
always be so quick to blame yourself, when lack of tight control
might not be your fault at all.
A Grassroot Movement is like a lawn; there is a bigger picture we all like to
see…. but underneath there are many small roots. Each root has an influence
on the entire picture. We too can have an effect, we just need to figure out
the efficient way to do it.
