arthritis article

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

If the nutritional approach using chondroitin, glucosamine and MSM, or
using RECOVERY, does not work, and for many it does not, there are
three things that are most likely are wrong with the scenario (besides
poor dietary habits).

1) Low glutathione. Glutathione is the body’s main antioxidant and
detoxifier in the cells where 90% is needed. It is increased by the
precursors found in cold-processed whey and selenium.

2) Low growth hormone (HGH).

3) Accumulated toxins.

Arthritis (and the underlying cause, the toxins) will not go away
easily without detoxification. In addition it is immune dysfunction,

the A1C Game

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

Hello Chris,

<I think we would be amiss to mention though, that we should NOT be
following our A1C as our guideline.<snip> A1C could represent a person
with swings from 50-220 and still show a good A1C for the Dr.>

I concede your point…

I’ve confounded the ~white coats~ for years for the very reason you suggest.
(daily numbers never match the average). However, the averages are close
enough to "perfect" protocol ranges to confuse them to no end <ggg>.
Something is being done ~correctly enough~…

Now you raise another excellent question. Ok, if our numbers go above XYZ,
take the number you suggest of 140… all/most of us have been beaten

Exercising with pain

Friday, July 29th, 2005

I speak from experience on this one. I take care of my 89 year old mother
and will make/do all kinds of things for her, but have great difficulty
doing healthy things for myself. I know this exercise program is good, but
like I said, it doesn’t do it for you, you still have to put the work in.

Re: Digest Number 1011

I think we would be amiss to mention though, that we should NOT be following our
A1C as our guideline. It is a 2-3 month average useful only to tell our Dr’s we
are holding our BG’s down. That A1C could represent a person with swings from
50-220 and still show a good A1C for the Dr. As stewards of our own care, we
must do our own glucose readings and adjust our lifestyles to what our readings
show.

Remember when we go above 140, we have a cumalative chance of developing the
complications commonly contracted from Diabetes. This means for every minute
you have a swing over 130, you accumulate a minute of time to do damage. Think
about a minute of 250 reading…this means several minutes at 240, perhaps 20
minutes at 230, half an hour at 220…all accumulating. Need I go on?

I don’t mean to be a killjoy here, but we really need to think of this on a
daily basis, or everything will avalanche on you.

A1C Conversion

Tuesday, July 26th, 2005

A different A1C conversion would be to multiply such numbers by 18 (ie 4.0
A1C would be 72 in meter readings) Or you can divide the meter number by 18
and get the "A1C" reading would be for a particular singular reading (ie
180 meter reading would convert to an "A1C" reading of 10 for a single
reading obviously)

Seems this is a good arguement for those people wanting to stop the Canadian
mail order RX opportunities.

Hi gang !

I wonder if anyone else questions the effectiveness of their insulin

Carbohydrates increase AGEs and diabetes, reduce life span

Sunday, July 24th, 2005

Diabetes experts, longevity practitioners and the Life Extension
Foundation have recommended this for years, and finally the American
Diabetes Association has joined them in saying that optimal fasting
glucose levels should be kept below a level that used to be considered
normal.

But we’re going lower yet, for even those normal levels promote the
prediabetic state, accelerate aging and reduce life expectancy. Here is
validation for the Glucose Theory of Aging.
