Dr. Bernstien isn’t the first stop on the way to the cure
Hi Pam, I am sorry you had to join us, but glad you chose us as an educational
resource. Dr. Bernsteins program addresses Diabetes as a carbohydrate problem,
which it is, to an extent, but it goes much deeper. I sense you probably have
larger issues with Insulin Resistant Hyperinsulinemia.
Have you talked to your Dr. about this, and addressed treatment of it? Your
Diabetes has been caused by this disorder, commonly known as Syndrome X, which
caused your pancreas to overproduce until it started to burn out (this is why
you are diabetic). Most Type IIs can trace their diabetes back to this, and
until you address this, no matter how much you reduce your carbs, you will be
fighting a loosing battle. You should have been put on medications for this
before any other medical recomendations were given, including Dr. Bernstiens
program.
There are medications out there for dealing with IR (syndrome X), Avandia is the
one I take and I feel it is a godsend. I personally believe there are more
natural alternatives, and am searching for them, but I am not about to STOP
taking it until I find one.
Good luck, and remember, you are the only person who can take control over your
condition. Participate in your journey to stability; question and research
EVERYTHING that can help you.
Chris.
PS. I cannot, for the life of my find anything that gives relevance to Butchers
Broom. How does this work on the system. Does it work as a pancreas
stimulator, a liver retardent, or something to help the IR?? I don’t want to
start on it until I know how it will act with my other meds.

Subject: Re: Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution. A Complete Guide to Achieving
Normal Blood S
Hello,
I bought Dr Bernstien’s book when I was diagnosed in March or so and
it didn’t work for me. I cut out almost all carbs finally and still
my bgs weren’t normal. I also did not feel well on a totally low carb
diet. I need veggies to feel well.
He also doesn’t recommend supplements like chromium and vanadium
which helped me a lot in the beginning.
I guess we are all different,
Pam

Hi Chris,
I stay away from doctors - I don’t trust them and I don’t take the
drugs. I haven’t taken Butchers Broom myself.
I am trying to heal my pancreas with far infrared rays and it seems
to be working so far. My fasting bgs are consistently in the 100-115
range when I stay on a reasonable diet and have an hour in the infra-
bed every evening. That is with no exercise at all because I had all
my teeth out 2 weeks ago and haven’t felt like exercising.
I realize it will take a while to actually heal the insulin
resistance with this but, in the meantime, I am detoxing my body of
heavy metals and chemicals of all kinds. In her Detoxify or Die book
Dr Sherry Rogers said that the far infrared sweat is the only way to
get plastics, ddt, formaldyhyde and other man-made chemicals out of
the body. The rays also heal the side effects of diabetes like
circulation problems that I fortunately don’t have yet.
I am perfecting and testing my prototype farinfrared healing bed and
I hope to have it online as a kit for people to put together by the
New Year. I am testing it with a type 1 diabetes friend right now
too. This has been a fascinating journey and I am having a great time
with it.
Pam
