<description>&#62; I have just modified my first prototype a lot and it is working even
&#62; better.

Thanks for the information, Pam, and best of luck on your project !

		<description>Hi Linda,
I surely will let everyone know when it's done. I'm putting a timer
on it today. Yes it does help with exercise soreness. In fact
athletes are using far infrared saunas to warm up their muscles for 5
minutes before exercising and then they do a short session after as
well.
There is a lot of research out there on the effects and they've been
using the full-on saunas for 20 years in Germany and the Orient but
no-one seems to have studied the diabetes reaction. Of course, if you
have one of these and your bgs are under 100 then you wouldn't get
all the complications of diabetes and a lot of people who live off it
would be out of work, right? I'm a real cynic about medicine.
This is a non-commercial list so I don't want to be accused of trying
to sell stuff and thrown off but if no-one objects I will keep you
all posted.

		<description>Hi Kady,
The fir lamps can only give you the first effect I spoke of, the
muscle healing effect, because they can only be directed at one part
of the body. You don't get the full body sweat reaction that lowers
the bgs. Mine was 97 this morning, yeah! It just keeps going down
every day.
The cloth stuff is great. That is a fabric that reflects your own
body rays back to you. I have one for my sore wrist and I put it on
whenever I do a lot of computer work or sanding. It made me a
believer in FIR. But, once again, it is not a whole body detox.

I have just modified my first prototype a lot and it is working even
better. What I want to do is get a kit and directions together so
people can make one just like it. I am trying to design it so that
someone even so sick they can't get out of bed can have a session. It
&lt;!--more--&gt;
would just be placed over them as they lie there. I'm really excited
about the healing possibilities with it. Lots of testing to do yet
though.

Pam,
I've been searching on the internet to find out about far infrared, and
there are a lot of products available besides the whole bed, which as you say
is very expensive. There are FIR lamps for about $200, and there is even less
expensive FIR clothing that one can wear. Have you heard about these and do
you think the lamps and/or the clothing would be just as effective as laying
in one of the beds? btw, it was interesting to read that the FIR detoxes
parasites, fungus, etc., which is the basis of Dr. Hulda Clark's diabetes curing
theory, and also the basis of The Fungus Link curing theory.
Thanks,
Kady

		<description>Hi Linda,
From my research there are two different effects of the Far infrared.
The rays go 1-2 inches into the body and warm and heal muscles
directly - they have been used in this way for years by doctors.
For diabetics the second effect is the raising of body temperature as
if you have a fever. This only comes from being inside an enclosed
space with the rays - like a personal sauna. But it is way more
comfortable than a regular sauna because it doesn't have to get so
hot to raise a sweat. By raising your internal temperature it has the
effect of sweating out toxins plus giving you the same workout as if
you had gone running for 30 minutes. So I think that's why it affects
the bgs. It is the equivalent of very strong exercise on the muscles
burning up sugar. You replace the sweat with water but you don't put
back the sugar or the toxins.
For overweight diabetics it would be a godsend I think. I'm a skinny
&lt;!--more--&gt;
diabetic and can't gain weight on the low carb diet so now I will be
able to eat more veggies and healthy raw food, which I have been
missing a lot.
While I was gone to the dentist I thought of some improvements to my
prototype so I will work on those now. What I am hoping to do is get
a kit together or just the directions and sell them to people who
want to make their own. That is a way's off. First I will make it the
best way I can for me and then test a few with friends with different
problems.

<description>Sure, Mary, I am excited about it. It seems to have the potential to
heal many degenerative conditions.

<description>Hi Freepam. Do you have any idea what far-infra-red light does to
effect this lowering of blood sugar? Do you think it might be similar
to zapping - knocking out parasites? Or some other effect? Anyone?
Please keep us posted on your progress. -Linda R</description>

<description>Hi Mary.... I haven't heard of any of these things - oxyplus, far infrared,
Willard Water, and stretch exercise that someone else mentioned. If anyone has
good links to these things, I would sure appreciate it.
Thank you,
Kady
