Re: Get Cholesterol Down
Zocor is a statin drug that is known to deplete CoQ10, which can
lead to sudden death due to heart attack. Lots of info about that
so I don’t have to run it into the ground here.
Did you know that the low end of the "danger zone" at 200 total
cholesterol was originally recommended by researchers to be 250?
Setting the level at 200 made about 1/3 of the population treatable
with drugs. Here in Canada the low danger level is still the
equivalent of 250.
HDL is important. If you divide total cholesterol by HDL and get a
number of 4 or higher, there’s no danger anyway.
And here’s the kicker; actual deaths from CHD do not correspond to
cholesterol levels anyway. Never did.
So the article is what? You got it - a propaganda article for Big
Pharmacy’s drug products (again).
Note they keep chattering on and on about lowering cholesterol,
when it’s only OXIDIZED cholesterol that forms sticky plaques.
Well, fine, but most diabetic complications are related to
oxidative stress, aren’t they?
And the plaques, when analysed turn out to be composed of 74%
monounsaturated oils and polyunsaturated oils from your diet. Not
cholesterol. Published in the Lancet.
