coconut oil

I’ve switched from canola oil to coconut oil for cooking…But I
don’t like the coconut flavor the cold pressed extra virgin organic
oil gives to meat or vegetable dishes. Spectrum Oil Co. has a more
processed (refined) coconut oil that they claim retains the benefits,
but avoids the liabilities of refined oils…Their organic refined
coconut oil contains no trans fatty acids, they say (I e-mailed them
about this, so can post details of their extraction methods if anyone
is interested)…This product has very little coconut taste. My
neighbor uses organic palm oil from Spectrum for all cooking and
shortening purposes…She says it adds no detectable flavor to the
dish…Do any of you who know a lot about oils have any opinions
