not just ANY snake oil salesman
Check your history…..without government controls to
some degree we are open to every snake oil salesman
that comes along, being against a person having a
degree is one thing , saying that a person who sells
medical advice without any schooling - that is a
sham— some of the best salesman in this alternative
medicine

Come now, did I say that????? I THINK NOT.
In this age of advanced education and technology, we are able to research and
corroborate every bit of information to establish its validity. A tangental
conversation happening I am sure you have seen, is the one where people who
stand to gain (monetarily) are endorsing a product. We are able to actually see
their claims: put terms into search engines,- research names and credentials,
talk to our local librarians (ad infinitum)
Even if research is found in the most unreliable spot, we can still apply our
own control over our lives and check to see what is there. If I can find a cure
to this ultimately life controlling medical issue I have, I will use it. Even
if it comes from a craggly old lady who lives in a tree stump up on a scary
mountain. Can the results of checking out obscure sources be worse than going
blind, having all your limbs lopped off and dying of kidney failure?????
To discount alternative medicine just because it doesn’t coincide with what a
Dr. says is an exercise in apathetic ignorance. There have been many cures now
accepted by the common medical world. They are embracing using leaches on
wounds again; they have found out they clean gangrene cleaner than ANY modern
chemical can, with no damage to perepheral tissue. There are many other things
that in their own time were nothing but old wives tales, aspirin is one of them.
I agree there are people out there who might try to make a buck with almost
everything, but c’mon we live in a different world than back when they plugged
bootleg into a bottle and sold it to cure baldness, constipation, and prevent
cancer to boot. The big difference in this world is we are better educated.

Amen to that, Chris! I agree totally. I say let people speak freely here.
If you don’t like what they say delete them. We do have some on this list
who think they are the authority of this list, what is best for everyone and
smarter than us all. Pleeease.
