Micheal, re Health advice
Hi Michael,
It is a bit strange to have people without degrees giving health
advice but, I have to tell you, the advice most doctors give over
here is even stranger. When I was diagnosed I was told to get on
Glucophage so I could keep on eating chocolate. When I told the doc I
would do some research and change my diet she was very disturbed. She
didn’t know anyone who had made that work.
Now my bgs are back to normal after 3 months on diet and supplements
I am often tempted to start giving advice to people myself. Lots of
people don’t have my research skills or determination and there are
still many poor suckers here who believe everything the doc tells
them. That is changing but perhaps only because of all the people
like me who end up writing about their homegrown cures.
Sharing in forums is great but how many people do they reach?
The other problem is that if I decided to go back and get degrees for
credibility purposes, I couldn’t stand to listen to the malarkey they
are still teaching, eg nutrition.
It’s a strange new world with multiple supplements coming out every
day, lots of hype, lots of people trying to make money off of sick
people, and people getting sicker all the time on the food and
lifestyle they think is normal.

Hi Pam,
I was born and raised in New York and have so many bad
experiences with doctor, the medical kind….and i
believe everyone one of us must not accept what we are
being told, search and research until you are
satisfied…..As for licensed health providers should
be every last one of them because if not we will go
back to the years past when a guy with his horse and
buggy pulls into town and starts hving us drink his
snake oil….Degree for those who give any kind of
medical advice to the general public and makes an
income from it…Gotta have a degree and a license….
In theory down here I cannot give any medicl advise
even to my friends, so what just tell every body what
I have done and the effects it is having on me…..
except for
Use butcher’s broom that I stand by …..
