Thursday, February 10th, 2005

Linda: Thanks for your help. I am Type 2, have lost most of my weight but
have not been exercising much lately. You have provided me with another reason
that I must get back to my walking. It works for me.

Hi, does no one know what causes my blood sugar to be higher in the morning
than what it was at bedtime? Is that normal?
THanks,

Battle Diabetes with Nutrients & Supplements — Part II

GLUTATHIONE
Cold-processed whey isolate and selenium. Produces glutathione which
dramatically protects the body from oxidative stress. According to
research, diabetic complications are reduced in the presence of ample
glutathione. Take a program of antioxidants rather than a couple.

INULIN
Inulin, a long chain indigestible sugar. It feeds and corrects bowel
flora, reducing candida and other nasties, reduces insulin and blood
glucose, reduces VLDL cholesterol, improves mineral absorption, and
reduces bowel cancer risk, in addition to improving bowel production of
vitamin B complex and short-chain faty acids. Also protects the liver
from oxidation.

diabetes anti-complication

Hi Linda;

By the time you see the list you might not call it the simplifier.
Essentially, it’s part of any anti-aging program. Nutrition increases
health and thus extends longevity.

The majority of diabetes complications outlined by research are due to
free radical damage. Even atherosclerosis and vascular insufficiency,
kidney, eye damage and heart disease. In fact the majority of diseases
in general are closely tied to low antioxidant levels, especially
glutathione. The research is on my web site.

A complete antioxidant program, viamin A, 5,000-10,000; E, 400-800; C,
1,500; selenium, 200-800 mcg; cold-processed undenatured whey isolate to
produce glutathione, 30-60 grams daily. Plus additional antioxidants you

antioxidants (was re: newbie)

Hi Larry;

Another natural product that is high in antioxidants is rice bran
extract. This is of particular interest because it also reduces insulin
and blood sugar levels.

The research on juice plus is pretty general on the T cell proliferation,
but maybe we can assume the Th1 cells proliferated because otherwise we’d
be increasing inflammatory response if it was the Th2 cells.

I note that significant increases were found in the serum antioxidants;
Lutein/zeaxanthin, a-carotene, b-carotene and a-tocopherol. Very good,
however juice plus fails to increase the body’s most versatile and
powerful antioxidant glutathione. People using juice plus should also
take steps to increase their glutathione, which among other things
