Re: BS level - Does Age Matter

Monday, February 28th, 2005

Pardon if this is an ignorant question, but I need to know if someone
knows whether blood sugar range is the same for everyone, regardless of age –
in
particular, I’m asking if a 3 yr old’s normal range of numbers - fasting, 2
hrs after meals, etc. - should be the same as an adult.
Thank you,

antioxidants protect against complications

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

We know that diabetic complications for the most part are the
result of free radical damage. They can be prevented with attention
to antioxidant supplements and dietary antioxidants.

Here’s what some of the peer-reviewed research concludes:

"Diabetics are prone to infections and circulatory problems leading
to heart disease, kidney failure and blindness. Glutathione
protects against the complications of diabetes" Clinical Science
91:575-582, 1996

"People with kidney failure or dialysis suffer from higher levels
of oxidative stress and decreased glutathione levels. Raised
glutathione levels help prevent anemia" Nephron 61:404-408, 1992

Re: Digest Number 899

Hi, Duncan,
Butcher’s Broom is so much cheaper and does the job so well.

Besides, the research on Noni is done by the companies that sell it,
n’est-ce pas?

Jewell

My apoligies for not paying closer attention, but is there a botanical name and
country of origin for Butchers Broom?

Thanks,

Chris

Butchers Broom and Cassia Cinnamon

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2005

Thank you, Michael, for the information on BB. I will also look into the
cassia cinnamon. I take no medications, but my BGL has been up in the morning
and I haven’t figured it out yet. I am losing weight (don’t have much to go)
and exercise (walking) daily. I, too, am looking for the miracle cure! You
folks will be first to know if I find it! Ellie

Somehow I must have missed something, Michael, and I’m always interested in
the success of others. Is this experiment that you and your friends did
different than the usual low/no carb thing that all diabetics do?

Re: Digest Number 894

Tuesday, February 15th, 2005

Great news, Pam.
Has anyone had success w/long term diabetes????
I was dx’d 13 years ago. On glucophage, diabeta, advantia, as well as drugs for
high blood pressure and heart (conjestive heart failure).
I’m lowering my carbs, as, even w/all those meds, my sugars were running in the
300’s. Now, w/lower carbs, I get lower numbers
I’m obese and 51 yrs old.
So, is there any knowledge of how what Pam is having success with, would work on
long term diabetes? Or can the pancreas be too far gone?

Great news!

Hello,
I realized I had diabetes about 3 months ago - Lord knows how long I
have had it. My long-term blood test was 13.5%. I didn’t take the
drugs my doctor wanted me to and did lots of research and started
trying everything. Some things seemed to help and some didn’t.
Yesterday I took a home blood test that I got from ebay and it was
6.1%. I’m jazzed.
I also just ordered glucomannon and started taking chia last week so
I still have more stuff to try. I want to heal my pancreas completely.
I have been very strict with my diet, very few carbs - green
vegetables mostly, no grains, plenty of good fats, raw milk kefir. I
have been a sugarholic all my life so the only answer was not to have
bad stuff in the house.
I’m celebrating! - but not with chocolate :-) Pam

Re: Kady re: Infectious Diabetes book

Kady, what did you think about that book, Infectious Diabetes? -Linda R

Hi Linda… I thought it extremely informative. I think it’s exciting that
people like those men who wrote it and people like Hulda Clark are researching
the root cause of diabetes. I’m having some very positive results with
zapping as recommended by Dr. Clark and will give a detailed report in weeks to
come. I’ve only touched the surface of her protocols. I wanted to see what the
zapper alone would do and it’s quite amazing. I’m now going to combine both
the protocols described by Dr. Clark and those described by the authors of
Infectious Diabetes. btw, the book I had has sold. But any further questions
about the book, please feel free to write me off list.

Re: to Duncan coconut oil

Friday, February 11th, 2005

If you need to kill bacteria you can always use coconut oil, which
disrupts the lipid coat of bacteria, some viruses, and candida. It enters
the bloodstream from the colon, and kills things in the blood to.o

Could you tell more. Could you pls say what you mean by it enters from the
colon. do you mean take coconut oil by eating it or what.
