Pamela, here is the Dr. Clark info…

I am, however, fairly sure that the medical community isn’t likely to
embrace the methodology and for SURE the pharmaceutical companies
aren’t. I think that is why all of a sudden, Sen. Durbin is introducing
a bill to make any supplement (vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids,
etc.) to be put under the FDA’s authority.. god forbid! One complaint
and they can pull even age old remedies off the shelf for up to 8 years
to "study" it… and what better way to convince the the powers that be
that ‘Here look!! These things are dangerous!! WE, the pharmaceutical
companies are the only ones responsible enough to make them!!" In
europe, they have already crammed such a measure down the populations
throat as of June 1st, apparently, despite huge public outcry… and
because of the reciprocal trade agreements we have with them, I am sure
that is another way the government is going to be pushed by the
pharmaceutical companies to try to force us to do the same.

I don’t think we can take our health care freedom for granted… again I
would urge anyone who prefers the freedom to choose their health care
modality freely, be it pharmaceutical or alternative in nature, to write
their congressperson and express their concern about bill S. 722. I did
post the links to those web sites with that information and a handy link
to find and write your congressperson.. if anyone wants them again, just
let me know! While for sure we don’t need a shopping bag of
supplements, I really hate the thought of having to carry around an ever
increasing shopping bag full of prescriptions meds to deal with all the
complications of all the other prescription meds I was taking, as my
only recourse to ‘living’ with disease. Yipes!!

Sorry Pamela… I do get carried away sometimes.. but I care a great
deal about the freedom to choose, as I have had far more success with
the alternative methodologies than the traditional ones thus far, so I
hope you can forgive me expounding on the topic! *smile*

Annie

Well thanks also to you for a warm welcome. Now, parasites you say ? I
have
never heard of that one before, but you are right.I am the kind of person
who
views things with an open mind, and looks at things backed up by data
facts,research etc. I do realize being a nurse,and a health care
practicioner myself
that the medical commun- ity has a vested interest in continueing to
fuel the
health industry multimillion dollar business. So,sometimes trying new
things
boils down to using a lot of commonsense and critical analysis
skills,and good
