Re: Digest Number 802

Monday, January 31st, 2005

Sorry, just catching up on my e-mails… Please note the FDA authorizes
products based on the Drug
Companies testing data.

How much risk are we willing to take with our own lives and that of our
children? What is the reason to blame the FDA, drug manufacturers or
chemical companies for such poisons when we, the consumer, can just say
NO I will not endanger my family like this? ‘I did not know’ is not a
good response in this, our information age!

We can choose not to use most of the drugs and products based on
toxicity to our bodies. Were we to
read labels before purchasing, then many products would be passed by.

Drugs need to be passed by based on side effects shown in the

..
Welcome and by all means feel free to browse back through the previous
posts.. lots of info in there about what many of us have thus far found
to be working for us! And of course, feel free to ask questions about
stuff you might read there.. = )
And I would say you are right about taking the meds being part of the
cause of your diabetes.. at least according to Dr. Clark’s protocol
wherein she has found a distinct connection to wood alcohol used as a
preservative in most prescription meds and that toxicity allowing the
pancreatic flukes to prosper for their full life cycle inside the human
pancreas which totally interferes with it’s ability to make insulin!. I
know my diabetes is directly linked to overdosing myself on thyroid meds
to compensate, as I found out later, for a liver overload. I have fixed
that, but once you get a colony of those pancreatic flukes in place,
apparently even a bit of toxicity allows them to keep prospering! Plus

My name is Dot and i’ve diabetes for about a year now. I also have
an autoimmune disorder and have had this diease for about 10 years…

still trying to learn about diabetes as far as my eating habits.. I
pretty much got it down, but sometimes it’s a real challenge.. I
think being on prednisone for such a long period of time over the
years has alot to do with diabetes for me..Anyways, i wanted to
introduce myself incase I have any uncertain questions that I will
probably have..This is the only support group that I could find…

Well thanks for listening to me.

Re: anti-aging and diabetes

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

Regarding the following snip from that long Ray Peat article, in fact
anti-aging specialists I spoke to contended that the islet cells are
often or even usually regenerated while the client was on a growth
hormone HGH-increasing program. I know this isn’t quite the same as DHEA,
but DHEA does work as a growth hormone. Just a little validation from the
workers in the field.

(one can also investigate the use of Gymnema Sylvestris to increase
insulin sensitivity and regenerate islet cells)

The second paragraph is pretty much what I’ve been saying too. More
validation, plus this information is pretty much what the anti-aging
specialists are doing in their practices to go with the HGH increaser.

Coconut oil? Yes! It increases metabolic rate, which by definition

Hi Mary;

I buy a commercial blend because it reliably produces the effect I’m
looking for. Also, amino acids are a restricted item in Canada so buying
all the right ones and blending them myself is a big hassle.

The blend’s mix is about:
l-lysine 1200 mg
l-arginine 1200 mg.
l-ornithine 850 mg
l-glutamine 500 mg
l-glycine 450 mg
l-valine 300
l-leucine 250
l-isoleucine 250

Re: [GWSCSWEB] Hormone Replacement Linked to Dementia

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

Anti-aging specialists for sure, and many other endocrinologists still
support attending to hormonal balance. But balance is the key word.

HRT is a lop-sided approach that did not attend to that balance. In many
cases the doctor prescribed it without taking any baseline readings at
all. And HRT was really not human hormone anyway.

On the other hand, many endocrinologists want to tinker with the
complexities of half a dozen hormone levels, using external and usually
foreign substances.

> [GWSCSWEB] Hormone Replacement Linked to Dementia]

Most anti-aging specialists prefer not to use foreign hormones; they
would prefer to see about restoring your own natural hormone levels.

Some disturbing patterns to think about…

In case you prefer to read only health related ideas, please feel free
to delete this post.. thanks!
Well, not to get off the health subject too far, (I did post some of
this over on the other group too, in response to someone’s comment about
being too cynical so forgive me for being redundant) but what if you
wanted to take over the largest most powerful country in the world, how
would you go about it??? The most effective way would be to slowly but
surely make them weaker in whatever way you could, wouldn’t it??.
So of course you would want them sicker and sicker as sick people don’t
worry about things like what is the government up to usually; they are
too busy trying to get well.. and how about all the ‘new’ and deadly
diseases?? Can it be coincidence that they are all springing up just
now?????? Seems an excellent way to scare us all into being even more
dependent on our medical system, and the institutions that support it.
Also, notice how not only are we all getting sicker and sicker via

pill-pushing philosophy

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

Kat,

The doctors who do that kind of work are often working now as anti-aging
specialists. They can still prescribe drugs, they do have the advantage
of being able to do medical work, but they focus on health so they know
that true health, and anti-aging can only be attained through
detoxification, diet, hormonal levels, nutritional supplements, and sleep
patterns.

But you can get that help, minus the medically regulated techniques of
course, from a health professional, master nutritionist, molecular
biologist, or even a discussion group. The unregulated stuff by
definition is everyone’s property.

Hi Linda;

There are thousands of brands out there and I can’t be sure but it sounds
like a smaller company, one who produces their own oil rather than one
who buys from a broker.

The one I tried from Crete is very good oil, called ABEA.

Fat to cook with…

Friday, January 21st, 2005

I am gathering here that the usual pourable oils people cook with are
not good. I see butter and lard recommended…I can’t seem to use
butter-When I eat it, it results in immediate soreness in my finger
joints, making my hands hard to open in the morning. So lard. Where
does one get lard that is not a product of the scary American meat
industry, or filled with stored toxins from the pig’s diet of
pesticided grain, plus who knows what? Is there a good source for
