Re: Protein
The only necessary thing that the body must have everyday is protein. The
body will start digesting its own protein sources like muscles and the heart
is a muscle.
Back in the 70’s they had the liquid protein diet and some of the people
died. Their hearts were 1/2 digested.
That’s why I wondered how long you could stay on this. I also wondered if
you could just do it during the week and then switch to real food on the
weekend.

The example of the liquid protein diet digesting the heart doesn’t correlate
with your statement that you must have protein every day or start digesting your
muscles. If the protein diet was protein and people were drinking it every day,
why did they digest their hearts? Do you see the opposites here?
Secondly, I agree that protein is an important nutrient and vital for muscle
strength and energy. However, a short term cleanse like the lemon cleanse is
not detrimental. You should try to find the book about it so you can thoroughly
understand the author’s viewpoint and reasons for the suggestions he makes
before trying this.
I was just offering it up for consideration. If it doesn’t appeal to you, don’t
try it.
There is a weight loss product I have recently become familiar with that is
helping people curb their appetites and stop food cravings. The results is
slow, steady, permanent weight loss for a lot of people who were stuck before.
It doesn’t contain stimulants, which should be avoided. You can learn more
about it at www.slimcow.com.

I don’t know what made the liquid protein diet go wrong. Maybe the kind of
protein or maybe people didn’t get enough. I do agree with you that you can
go a little while without protein.
