For Phyllis

Dear Phyllis,

YES - I agree. SOMETIMES YOU DO need drugs. I, too, have had MAJOR, VERY
SEVERE PANIC AND ANXIETY DISORDER, over a 30 year time period, but, unlike
most of us, I SEARCHED AND SEARCHED until I found NATURAL THINGS to
help…and I DID FIND THEM. I’ve seen many lives RUINED by Zoloft and
similar products, and I simply was NOT willing to do that. I went through a
living hell for 5 years about 25 years ago with panic and anxiety. I now
know of an arsenal of things against them, and THEY ALL WORK, but not all of
them on everybody. The most common things, however, like St. Johns Wort,
Kava Kava, hops, passion flower, or valerian, DO NOT.

I know of only ONE mental type condition for which we have absolutely
NOTHING natural, unless one counts lithium, which is a mineral, and that’s
bipolar disorder. NOTHING touches it but drugs.

Schizophrenia is also a tough order, but we can help it somewhat - again,
SOME drugs are usually necessary.

But panic and anxiety? Yeah. It’s out there. Ya gotta know where to look.
I almost lost my marriage and my sanity over these issues, so I can totally
relate to what you say there, Phyllis.

I am more concerned over organic illness…in that area, which covers about
95% of all illnesses, I cannot think of one instance where there are not
WONDERFUL natural ways to handle the problems. That includes diabetes.

Also, in case I didn’t make my feelings clear regarding emergencies and
trauma, we need ANYTHING and EVERYTHING AVAILABLE under those conditions!!!
Herbs and whole food nutrition are LONG RANGE rebuilders, restorers, and
rejuvenators. When we’re sick as a dog, hurt, shot, burned, etc., WE MUST
DO WHAT IT TAKES.

I may be on the other side of this discussion. I have a pretty severe panic
and anxiety disorder, which almost ruined my life and allthose around me. I
have taken Zoloft for years and have lived a better life because of it. I
tried natural remedies, but never saw any results.

But, my neighbor took it and just got nastier and nastier, so the switced
him to another one and he is fine. So, sometimes, you do have to treat
medical problems with drugs.

Phyllis
