For Phyllis: statin drugs

Dear Phyllis,

Letters like yours get me so mad at the drug companies I could just SPIT!!!
Our entire society seems to be brainwashed into believing drugs are a good
thing - they are NOT, except in emergencies. I believe we should look at
them as a temporary "fix" until we can find the missing nutrient(s) to
replace, rebuild, repair, or regenerate what is causing the problem in the
first place.

I’m so glad you are part of that lawsuit, at least! I hope those suckers
have to PAY, PAY, PAY!!!

First of all, to herbalists like myself, we subscribe to the very clearly
evident truth that there is actually NOT an established relationship between
high cholesterol and heart disease. EVEN THE TV ADS STATE THIS - in FINE

PRINT!!! And as Dr. Douglass says, it’s not a big deal until it’s over 300,
and frankly, most of us don’t go that high. African Americans, however, do
seem to have a bigger problem there, though I don’t know exactly what the
genetic reason may be.

Now - bet none of you on the list knew there are two kinds of cholesterol?
One is what you consume…and the accepted medical advice is that it is bad
for you. That is FALSE. WHY? Because if you DON’T eat enough, your body
will create its OWN cholesterol. You HAVE TO HAVE IT. But here’s the rub:
what you MAKE YOURSELF is what is most dangerous!!! I can point you to an
excellent reference on this from a MEDICAL DOCTOR.

Without cholesterol, we die. But first we shrivel up like prunes. So we
need to be consuming it in good fats, which means NOT hydrogenated or trans
fats. The medical world is still in the dark ages regarding diet. I have a
lot of information geared towards these issues in my newsletters.

But if you STILL want to lower it, garlic is an old standby. Good old garden
variety garlic. Or, and this may surprise you, CALCIUM, though there are
only a few types which are really assimilable. Calcium consumed is NOT
calcium used. It has to have a delivery system to get into the cell walls.
The KIND of calcium is critical…orotate is the easiest to get into the
cells, but still must have vitamin D, boron, and most importantly,
magnesium, to work. And yes, I do know of a couple brands that fill the
bill - most do not. Here’s another interesting tidbit: calcium is
absolutely required for your heart to beat, your muscles to move, or your
brain to work and—DIABETICS OF THE WORLD, LISTEN: calcium helps regulate
the blood sugar levels!

Your body must also maintain an alkaline pH. This is crucial for avoiding
almost ANY disease process.

If you want specifics on brands, of course, it’d be a good idea to ask for
that privately!! LOL Or give me a call after 2 pm eastern time any day:
407-932-3654. I get calls from all over the world and love meeting folks
that way.

Linda,

I have had bad pain in my legs from taking Baycol. I am now involved in a
class action law-suit against Bayer. The doctor gave me another statin and
it makes my legs 50% worse. They have run almost every test on me know to
man and can’t find any neuropathy or anyting like that.

I will be having more muscle test, first muscle test negative.

But in the mean time what do I take to lower my cholesterol. The bad is
high, the good is low and the tryglicerides are about 800.

Thanks for the help.
