Sweet N Low

I’ll probably shock all of you by what I say now: I prefer stevia, as the
healthiest of the artificial sweeteners, but if we MUST use them, and there
are times we really DO have to, then I use saccharin, which is best known as
Sweet N Low.
I’ve studied this for 30 years, and NEVER believed the "bad rap" it had. I
recently came upon the following educational material about it:

Saccharin, the sugar substitute that gained notoriety in the late 1970s as a
substance that caused cancer has been taken off the official list of likely
carcinogens.

The Department of Health and Human Sciences announced the change in May in
the "Report on Carcinogens (9th Edition). Dr. Kenneth Older, Director of
the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and National
Toxicology Program said, "…. Studies now indicated that the rat bladder

tumors arise from mechanisms that are not inherent to the human situation.
In addition, we have decades more data from observations of humans using
saccharin that adds to our confidence. In other words, with better science,
we can now make a better call."

Of course, eating real food is always better than chemically manufactured
substances.

As for the last paragraph - well, that’s strictly CYA. And what is so WRONG
with prescribing for ourselves? After all, the doctors kill over 175,000 of
us a year with LEGAL DRUGS - I prefer to run my own ship. It’s MY life, MY
body, and MY health. I learned long ago not to trust someone who gets paid
whether I live or die. In my field, I can only stay in business if my
customers are IMPROVING their health and feeling better! It’s a whole
different paradigm.

So I do use Sweet N Low in extreme moderation and feel perfectly happy with
that. I do not, however, touch ANYTHING with Aspartame. I cannot use
sorbitol, as for some reason it causes me to have extreme difficulty
breathing after consumption. Don’t have a clue WHY. And I DO use Atkins
syrup (sucralose sweetened, which is Splenda) about 3 tablespoons a MONTH.

But then, I take excellent supplements, so I figure the little bit of Sweet
N Low and minute amount of Splenda cannot possibly hurt…and I feel better
at 58 than I did at 28. That is the truth.

ASK ME HOW TO PUT YOUR
BODY BACK IN BALANCE!

In a restaurant I usually use sweet & low, I think it tastes sweeter. I am
sure none of it is really good for you, but what are the alternatives. I
used to carry stevia with me, but I can’t always be perfect in everything I
do. I am barely hanging on by a thread now with all my personal problems.

We need better choices. i also use alot of Splenda, which is now becoming
available. The problem for me with all of them is that to make the power
formula it adds one carb. the liquid doesn’t have carbs, but then you can’t
get that.
