Re: Heart question

I have what is to me a very interesting question. I am going to ask the
Cardiologist on Monday, but I want your input first. Here we go.

I had a heart attack 3 ½ years ago and had no heart damage from the attack.
I had two clogged arteries either in the heart or beside the heart. They
were very small. I got stents in them. 1 and ½ years later I had a stress
test with the dye. The Dr. said I had one of the best hearts he had ever
seen and was amazed.

1 and ½ years after that, I had another stress test and he said my heart
looked fine.

I guess I was just stupid, because I thought everything was fine. Then about
1 years ago started having very bad pain in my legs. Well just got an MRA
and they want to see me because my arteries in the legs or the abdominal

aorta is clogged.

Isn’t it called the cardiovascular system? Why did they let me go over 3
years and never test my arteries. I thought when they said my heart was
fine, that covered it.

Does anyone know why they didn’t test me or what this means?

Doctors are totally myopic. You think a HEART specialist is going to look
at your LEGS??? DREAM ON! :-(
I HAD to have been diabetic…had all the signs, PLUS neuropathy, when I was
hospitalized in St. Louis 8 years ago with atrial fib. Nobody ever noticed
high sugar, but my present doctor said it HAD to be there…no way it could
    not have been.

I thank heaven I am into HOLISTIC HEALING…which treats the
    body/mind/spirit as a TOTALITY.

If the clogs are not completely life threatening right now, I would suggest
a course of oral chelation. That’s what I did when I learned things were
    damming up a bit.

Thanks. I am just so mad with myself, because I always feel that I am
responsible for my own health care. I just thought when he said my heart was
fine, that would include my arteries. I go on Monday and will let you know.

Does that really work and where do you get it? I have also heard Red Rice
Yeast and Fish Oil and Niacin. What do you think?

    Thanks,

I would request an MRA on all of my arteries. It is like an MRI, but does
the arteries. I have proven even if the heart is OK, that doesn’t mean the
    other arteries are.

Yes, I am back on Atkins. During Chrismas, after I lost my job and hadn’t
lost any weight in 2 months, I just fell off the wagon. I ate anything and
all I wanted over Christmas. My 14 year old daughter baked traditional
treats and took to all the neighbors, (we had never done this because of my
diabetes). It was wonderful. I felt like a normal person again.

I took the maximum meds and saw no difference in blood sugar, compared to
Attkins and either no meds or reduced meds.

But, after one month, I gained 15 pounds, felt awful and couldn’t wear any
of my clothes. I was in real physical pain in my waist trying to wear my

pants. I wouldn’t buy bigger. So, I started on Atkins again. About 2 weeks
and lost 6 pounds, so we will see.
