OT - Had to pass this warning on to all

Friday, April 30th, 2004

I am crying at this awful news which came from one of my lists, and am following
its recommendation that it be sent on to as many people as possible, whether
they have a cat now or not.

Please pass on to all YOUR contacts. This is so sad!
Linda
PLEASE CROSS POST TO ANY AND ALL LISTS!!!!!!!!!

I know that this is a collie list but right now I think everyone needs to hear
this.

Lot of us also own cats and right at this moment I am devastated to say that I,
my daughter and my mother in law are in mourning over the loss of a beautiful
little kitten named Kanga. He was only 5 months old and was raised by us from
the time he was three weeks old and a wild kitten.

Re: Heart question

Tuesday, April 27th, 2004

I have what is to me a very interesting question. I am going to ask the
Cardiologist on Monday, but I want your input first. Here we go.

I had a heart attack 3 ½ years ago and had no heart damage from the attack.
I had two clogged arteries either in the heart or beside the heart. They
were very small. I got stents in them. 1 and ½ years later I had a stress
test with the dye. The Dr. said I had one of the best hearts he had ever
seen and was amazed.

1 and ½ years after that, I had another stress test and he said my heart
looked fine.

I guess I was just stupid, because I thought everything was fine. Then about
1 years ago started having very bad pain in my legs. Well just got an MRA
and they want to see me because my arteries in the legs or the abdominal

Introducing myself to you, diabetic info

Sunday, April 25th, 2004

Dear Folks,

I’ve been in the herbal health field most of my life, and am constantly in awe
of what the body can do when given the raw materials it needs to build and
cleanse itself. I’ve worked with many diabetics, and they’ve had great success,
but admit I still wasn’t following my own advice until I joined their ranks. My
conquering of hypertension was a pleasant bonus, too!

That day I learned my fasting blood sugar was over 400 was the LAST time it ever
did that. For 3 days it was in the 200’s, then dropped in the 100’s, and
occasionally into the 90’s. I was taking a very small amount of medication the
first 4 months, but I knew exactly what to do and why. I have a most unusual
vested interest here: my mother died a horrible death from diabetic
complications and my 31 year old daughter was showing symptoms of heading down
the same road. I had to prove that all my theories would work ON MYSELF before

Cured?

Friday, April 23rd, 2004

Hi!
I’m a new member. Chris is my name. Newly diagnosed at a type 2. I
was very ignorant and thought one could quickly get better - like
with most illnesses.
I hit quite a depression when all the feedback I got was "you have
incurable disease"
I am managing well Glucophage, diet & exercise. So well in fact, that
I am feeling better than I have in ages!
Is it really impossible to have a remission or get cured? ? ?

I’ve heard of the water diet, but it sounds a little Quacky to me.
Are there any other cases of complete cure?

I hope someone can give me encouraging news.

To Linda R. from Linda Y.

Friday, April 23rd, 2004

Dear Linda,

Re your comments:

"Pharmaceutical Companies seem truly evil to me. As does the Insurance
Industry. I have distressed my family most of my life because I won’t buy
into insurance. It’s a spiritual thing for me - I’d rather put my money into
supplements, education, and practicing self-care than to throw it down the
bottomless pit of insurance mongers. I try to connect in my heart with
Higher Power for my insurance and am willing to simply live until I die,
gracefully, I hope. "

I run my own Forum which concentrates on diabetes, its complications, and
obesity. Seldom have I seen anything worded any more poetically or
beautifully than the above, and I would like your permission to reprint the

Re: Your comment: "In my experience, they have not helped nearly as much
as they might have, plus they refuse to acknowledge the immense help
available to us in alternative therapies. I am curious if others on this
list have found the arrogance of their doctors unhelpful, even destructive?"

A HUGE A M E N ! ! ! It’s why I pay little attention to any doctors, or
the ADA, for that matter, and my diabetes is totally under control (I’m type
II, though). The ignorance of the medical profession, compounded by their
arrogance, is astounding. And sickening. I do, however, follow closely for
myself and my herbal customers the advice of Diana Schwarzbein, MD, in her
groundbreaking book, ‘The Schwarzbein Principle". Should anyone on this
list NOT be familiar with it, here’s a link straight to the publisher:

I consider her book as the foundation for ALL the work I do with diabetics
around the world.

lantis

Tuesday, April 20th, 2004

I don’t understand what the advantage of lantis is if you still have to take
insulin at meal times. My doctor wanted to put me on it too and I objected.
I am a type 2 who went on insulin when they found i had it as my pancreas
stopped functioning but it is producing some insulin again. I take 2 shots
of 70/30 right now and it seems to be working as i am always under 150.

Something to look into!

Sunday, April 18th, 2004

We thought you would be interested to see that Juice Plus+ -
"America’s Brand Name For Prevention" - continues to receive very
positive media coverage. Last month, on Fox News’ regular "House
Call" segment, Dr. Isadore Rosenfeld, MD twice mentioned Juice Plus+
in response to questions, giving it his personal, "non-commercial"
endorsement.

To read what he said, and to hear both of these segments, if you
wish, please visit: www.wellnessplus.net/jpfoxnews.

With media coverage like this, and the strong, proven science behind
Juice Plus+, it’s wonderful to know that we are doing something so
simple, yet so powerful for our health.

Happy Holidays!
