Hi Brian,

I know of pycgnogenol, it has a strong antioxidant
potential, Rutin has some antidiabetic effects. If you
start taking the bucher's broom, you should see an
immediate improvement in the circulation of the legs.

Thank you Michael for the information. I've had only 34 years of
type I, and can see fairly well, still. I also had some retinopathy
and scarring in my left eye. I took the homeopathic
remedy 'Lachesis'(30c dilution) for awhile to take care of something
else entirely, and later when my eyes were checked again I was told I
had no evidence of retinopathy or scarring...(Homeopathy is a
specialty some Naturopathic doctors are versed in. The one I see will
dispense remedies.....Some Natural food stores carry them, or will
order them for you, at least in the US...) -Linda R

Hi Brian,

I hve retinaopathy in my left eye and unfortunately
half blind , I am facing a operation to remove the
scar tissue from the retina and will probably go ahead
with it in February. Strange how the medical
profession disagrees, I have been told no blood
thinners, take high amounts of viatmin E and C, C can
be taken alone, but Vitamin E must be taken with
vitamin C.

There was research down in one country in Eureope
where they "cured" retinaopathy in about 40 percent of
the cases. They were using a combination of Herbs
"Butcher's Broom" and buckwheat (which I do know
<!--more-->
reduces BSL in Type II, and a natural chemical
compounds , the name of which slips my mind. I am not
sure whether the test was for Type I or II or both.

Thanks for your info.

Every morning I and my wife have our smoothie of
fruit juices...various berries, pinapple, apples kiwi,
papaya, mangos, guava, bitter melon and a few others,
.....no bananas....Of course the sugar goes up but we
can control it, quite easily I may add, IF ANYONE CAN
DO THE SAME THEN THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO GET THOSE
NUTRIENS AND ANTIOXIDANTS INTO YOUR BODY.......

Yes an ounce of prevention is great! but vitamins in isolation are
not the best. I take Juice Plus-- fruits and veggies in a capsule--
with the water sugar and salt removed, so it is great for diabetics
because there is no sugar but all of the nutrition!

They do have a new product Called Juice Plus vineyard blend that in
combination with the Juice Plus it is helping people keep their
sugar levels down. I can put a limited number of people on this so
let me know if you would like more info.
