vitamin e
does vitamin e really play a role in staving off the ill-effects of
diabetes? if so, is there a dosage or product that i should look
into. i know that this group doesn’t sell products, but a point in
the right direction would be nice.
thank you kindly

I’m not sure which of the various things I do to prevent
complications is working, but I’ve had type-1 diabetes for 34 years
with less than excellent control the whole time (sigh), and I don’t
have the complications. I take vitamin E, 400 units in the AM and
400 U again in the PM, for a total of 800/day…I use a brand I get

Hi again, Ricardo. I remembered another good thing for one of the
common complications. Maybe you all have already discussed this, but
just in case…I guess our skin shares some of the functions of our
kidneys. So if we want to lighten our kidneys’ job, we can optimize
our skin’s functioning. This is another pleasant task. Basically
you have to sweat, in a hot bath or sauna, and then use a rough
cloth, soft brush, or luffa to scrub off dead skin that can block
pores. Saunas with their alternating hot and cold exercise the
muscles of your skin pores, which is also good! Follow this with some
huffing and puffing exercise and you can get rid of lots of excess
whatever through your skin instead of through your kidneys.
Does anyone else out there suffer from problems with excessive
yeast in their system? I know my elevated blood sugars nourish it. I
didn’t have trouble until I was given four rounds of antibiotics back
to back, and ever since it’s a constant struggle. ‘Diflucan’ helps,
grapefruit seed extract helps, steady intake of acidophilus
