Re: Digest Number 562

Dear Folks,

I am newly diagnosed (at age 57) with diabetes, although I know a great deal
about it from self-study and working, as an herbalist, with diabetics. How
I missed seeing the symptoms in myself will remain one of my life’s great
mysteries. I began looking immediately for a forum with a view towards
curing or reversing the disease and stumbled upon this one. Just reading
the description on the home page and I knew I had found the right people to
be with. I am most grateful to have found you.

With my knowledge of natural healing, I was able to pretty much stabilize my
blood sugar with very minimal meds within four days, although it had been
way over 400. Now I intend to rebuild things to get off the meds entirely.

There is one thing which totally confuses me, however, and I’m wondering if

someone on this list could point me in the right direction. From all I know
and have read (and I most highly recommend Diana Schwarzbein, MD’s book
"The Schwarzbein Principle" as THE book to read and follow - have had
success with it with dozens of diabetic clients, and now myself), diabetes
is the end product of insulin resistance. Overcoming and changing that is
my goal.

Here’s my question: it appears that in most people the pancreas is still
producing insulin, but the cells have become overloaded with sugar and can
no longer take it in - so insulin resistance develops. But other people
(and NOT Type I, I’m not considering that the same disease and have never
figured out why the medical profession thinks so) appear to have a problem
PRODUCING insulin. So how does one know WHICH IS THE CASE? It would seem
logical to me that the treatment course would be radically different here.
Also, does Type II ever carry the benchmark of the pancreas not producing
enough insulin?

Many thanks for any info that can be provided.

For me the best is Cassia Cinnamon, I can reduce my
BSL to normal in about two to three hours….

For the feet, almost any type of diabetic problem and
including other circulatory problems of the
    feet…Butcher’s Broom…..that is the correct name..I
and a few of my friends here in Australia are having
    great success with it…

    all the best

What amount do you take and do you make a tea or capsules or what?
    Thanks,

    -Vicki,

I make my own capsules ‘O’ size and use six capsules
each time…..I have done alot of self testing to come
up with what I feel is best for me….Cassia Cinnamon
is the most common, and depending where it comes from
will depend on the strength….Australia is the
weakest and Saigon Cinnamon is the strongest…I use
the Australia home grown as this is where I
live….Hopefully, I will be making tincture of Cassia
Cinnamon, when it is completed and self tested I’ll
    post the results…

    all the best

Thanks so much for the information.  When is the best time to take the caps, should it be taken with food or not?
    Thanks again!!!

I take them about 20 minutes after eating. But,
besides the cinnamon, I believe my diet is the most
significant change for me in controling my BSL…I
dont think cassia cinnamon allows me to go "off the
    wagon" and eat something stupid.

    all the best
    Michael
