I think they are out of their minds with this eating
formal, BUT it does support those who think Carbo
foods are good for diabetics. To this I add, to each
his own, but I’ll pray for you.

all the best

From:: British Diabetes Association

Eat regular meals based on starchy foods such as
bread, pasta, chapatis, potatoes, rice and cereals.
This will help you to control your blood glucose

I was such a difficult case. Most people can eat all the real cheese and
salad they want. I just couldn’t lose unless I really cut down.

I also have a severe additiction to creme cheese. The nights I would
break down and eat creme cheese with equal or cocoa, I wouldn’t lose,
even though I was still under 20 carbs for the day. So I would try to
save these for those really bad days.

<<I wish you would not make those dangerous statements. People might
think you
>are correct and die from that advice. You DO, read my lips do need
carbs. to
>live.>>

Please read the info below, it may save your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

To defend Dick, though he probably doesn’t need my help. I did find some
of my research, sorry it can’t be more, but I am so busy right now.

Dr. Eades book Protein Power on page 148 states "As to the danger of it
(he is referring to eating less than 70 to 10 grams of carbs a day)
traditional Eskimos, living above the Arctic Circle, eat virtually no
carbohydrate and do fine."

<<As you may know, the amount of carbohydrates that are required
to sustain life and health is ZERO! You don’t actully need any. >>

I am afraid that Dick is correct. The only thing we must have is protein
to sustain life. Fats and proteins will convert to carbohydrates in the
body. Read the Eades book. They talk about this. Also, ketosis will
sustain life as well as carbohydrates. It is the body’s second source of
energy.

I am sorry that I don’t have any of my links to support this, but after
many arguments with people at work, there is documentation on the Web. I
don’t have time right now to find it.

They would search at work and then come back and say well you are right!

<<I have completed my Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine
and Surgery from a very reputed university in India.
(five and a half years course)>>

Congratulations on completing this course of study. I hope you will
share with the group everything you know about diabetes. The Indians are
way ahead of Americans in the study and practice of Homeopathic
Medicine.

I have a question. I have alot of friends from India that now live in
America. Their diet is very high in carbohydrates. How is diabetes in
the Indian population? Is it rising like it is in America? What about
obesity?

Please e-mail mea nd the group. I am very excited that you are in this

GOOD BYE DIABETES

DIABETES is a disorder caused by decreased production of insulin, or
by decreased ability to use insulin.
The exact cause of diabetes mellitus is unknown, but heredity and
diet are belived to play a role in its development.
Mainly it can be classified into three forms.
1.Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus(IDDM) or Type I Diabetes.
IDDM usually occurs in people before the age of 30,who must then
receive insulin injections. Risk factors for IDDM include autoimmune
diseases, viral infections and family history of diabetes.
2.Noninsulin Dependent diabetes Mellitus(NIDDM) or Type II Diabetes.
NIDDM usually occurs in severe overweight (obese) adults and rarely
requires insulin treatment. Risk factors for NIDDM are obesity,
physiological or emotional stress, pregnancy, certain medications,

You go girl. I am proud that you are taking a stand. Your e-mail made me
smile on a day that there are so many problems with my family due to
unemployment, that I needed a bread. I applaud your actions!

Re: BP? Another question

Thursday, December 4th, 2003

I can’t answer your question, but have another one for everybody. When I
took my son to the endo we had a very interesting conversation.

My son-in-law - 26 yrs old, has type 2 and high blood pressure. His
blood pressure has been as high as 170 over 120.

He recently began taking an anti-depressent. This has brought his blood
pressure down to 128 over 70.

The endo says he should take blood pressure meds. He says that all
diabetics should take blood pressure meds even if their blood pressure
is normal, to avoid heart problems.

I really don’t like taking any meds. I have had diabetes type 2 for over
8 years and have never had high blood pressure. I also don’t think Dr.
