Cranberry Chutney
From the Anderson¹s Holiday Treat Party
1/2 cup sugar or Splenda
1 t chopped onion
1 t garlic powder
1/2 t ground cloves
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t cardemon
1/8 t ground dry ginger
1/4 t salt

Cook spices in 1/2 cup water, simmering 5 minutes

1/8 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup raisins
2 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
2 1/2 T brown sugar or Splenda & light molasses

Add these to the spice mixture and simmer 5 minutes or
until thickened. Cool.
************************
Arrange 4 cups Neufchatel cheese as a rounded brick;
pour the cooled mixture to cover the brick - as a teaser
tiny bits of white may peak through.
Server dollops on crackers of choice, Triscuits as nice.

If anyone goes to the trouble to count the number of cracker servings,
please post the number. I didn¹t think to count the number until after
the crowd demolished to plate.
Actually any cream cheese can be used, and low fat or fat free
varieties work nicely.
