Level, I do not take nor do I need glyburide or any
other medicine for diabetes.....I do not eat Grains,
ie...wheat, rye barley, oats and including rice and
corn. Also, I eat no potato family products...turnips
etc....I also restrict my diet from processed foods,
and dairy products...I am controlling my life and
without Carbs and I'm still alive and kicking a little
stronger as each day goes by.

Actually, I did it for about 3 months. I lost 40 pounds, was in ketosis
the entire time. I never cheated, but I did get fooled a couple of
times, like when the girl at McDonald's gave me a real coke!

It is almost impossible to eat 0 carbs, because of hidden carbs. Even a
egg has some carbs. I had a very difficult time losing any weight at
first and had to go to lower and lower carbs to obtain ketosis. My
typical menu was:

Eggs and Bacon
Chicken wings
Steak, chicken, pork chops
Lots of creme and oils, mayonaise

Twice a week I would eat cheese and a salad.
<!--more-->

I also took vitamins.

My blood levels all improved. For example my tryglicerides went from
3000 to 450. They are now 250 with no meds.
