<<As you may know, the amount of carbohydrates that are required
to sustain life and health is ZERO! You don’t actully need any. >>
I am afraid that Dick is correct. The only thing we must have is protein
to sustain life. Fats and proteins will convert to carbohydrates in the
body. Read the Eades book. They talk about this. Also, ketosis will
sustain life as well as carbohydrates. It is the body’s second source of
energy.
I am sorry that I don’t have any of my links to support this, but after
many arguments with people at work, there is documentation on the Web. I
don’t have time right now to find it.
They would search at work and then come back and say well you are right!

Actually, I did it for about 3 months. I lost 40 pounds, was in ketosis
the entire time. I never cheated, but I did get fooled a couple of
times, like when the girl at McDonald’s gave me a real coke!
It is almost impossible to eat 0 carbs, because of hidden carbs. Even a
egg has some carbs. I had a very difficult time losing any weight at
first and had to go to lower and lower carbs to obtain ketosis. My
typical menu was:
Eggs and Bacon
Chicken wings
Steak, chicken, pork chops
Lots of creme and oils, mayonaise
Twice a week I would eat cheese and a salad.
I also took vitamins.
My blood levels all improved. For example my tryglicerides went from
3000 to 450. They are now 250 with no meds.
