Re: Digest Number 314

Fiona~

The way they found my Diabetes was my neuropathy.  One year prior I had
normal blood sugar.  (l24)  The PC doc sent me to the neuro because my toes
were numb. He didn’t think anything of it and told me to return in a yr.

When I returned the next year I had severe peripheral neuropathy. He was
alarmed, then. Never saw it develop so fast to such a degree. I went through
all kinds of tests, and drs.  Even had a nerve biopsy. Long story a little
longer, he asked me when I had had a complete check-up.

One year before, with BG of 124.  He sent me for fasting blood sugar test. It
was over 400.
